A well established doc series production company is seeking a Clearance Coordinator.
The Clearance Coordinator will be responsible for locating and tracking acquired and archival footage across multiple shows in-house, working with Story Producers and AEs to maintain accurate records, and liaising with vendors as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate acquired footage logs, tracking costs of AQ clips and updating records as new cuts become available.
• Work with producers to negotiate and obtain a variety of production agreements, including, but not limited to, rights clearances (clip licensing, material releases, etc.) for all programming content. • Ensure that all production agreements falling under their purview are in compliance with legal, financial, risk management and administrative requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience handling clearances and other production related agreements; television/film experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks.
• Precise attention to detail. • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.
• workable knowledge of Avid edit systems.
