We have just completed an absolutely hilarious indie feature film. Everything from the script, to the actors, the cinematography (shot on Red Komodo 6k), to the craftie was on point. When the comedy hits, it hits hard. But when the big heart moment at the end of the movie reveals itself, the audience will be left in tears. We know we have something great for upcoming festivals, but we need the color to reflect the awesomeness of the rest of the film. That's where you come in!

We're looking for someone who can bring some real artistry to the table. There are things that need to be fixed colorwise, that's to be expected. But there are other moments that could heightened by the color. Our main character suffers from anxiety. How would you go about accenting this???? There are dramatic fantasy sequences. Is there anything you can think of that can help the audience have a visceral reaction to these? MAKE THIS YOUR BABY!!!

Obviously, we're an indie feature and can't afford to pay you a quadrillion dollars. But we can pay you a minimum of $4k plus deferments. So if you're looking to sink your teeth into something you can really put your stamp on, this is the project for you! We just started editing, but are looking at a November-December start for color. The pay for this project is based on a minimum payment of $4k plus deferred pay which can go up to $10k.

Responsibilities

Edit stories and videos on tight deadlines for newscasts and digital platforms
Maintain news archives
Operate electronic newsgathering equipment
Nonlinear editing (using Adobe Premiere) of newscast elements including PKGs, VOs, VOSOTs, opens, teases and preproduction material
Effectively collaborates with producers, reporters and managers to produce high quality stories
Ensuring proper storage and organization of *** files

Requirements:

Professional experience with nonlinear editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent) required
