We are looking for a Costume Designer to join our team on an upcoming feature film.

Responsibilities:
- design a variety of costumes for feature film
- break down scripts scene by scene, in order to work out how many characters are involved, and what costumes are required
- research in to the costume styles, designs and construction methods which are appropriate for the productions' time period, using a number of resources including libraries, museums and the Internet
- work with the production team to discuss feel and look of designs/costumes
- make sure that fittings for actors and extras are arranged
- able to alter costumes if deemed necessary

Qualifications:
- Proven Experience with feature films
- Examples of previous work
- Excellent Written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and organized
- able to work under pressure
- a strong sense of color and design

We are seeking a creative and resourceful Costume Designer to join our team for an upcoming independent film. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about storytelling through apparel, to bring characters to life in a visually compelling manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in costume design , with a keen ability to work within budget constraints and source materials creatively. This role requires collaboration with the director and actors to develop and execute a cohesive visual style that enhances the narrative and character development of the film.

As this is a low-budget independent project, we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently. The Costume Designer will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of costume production from concept to final on-screen appearance, including sewing, alterations, and on-set adjustments. This position offers the chance to be intimately involved in the filmmaking process and to make a significant impact on the look and feel of the film. Candidates with a portfolio demonstrating previous work in a feature film(s) will be given preference.
