Hello there,
Ian over at BRAVEMAN in Delray Beach. I’m our Head of Production and Producer on many of our projects.
We are crewing up for season 2 of a narrative TV show filming Monday-Friday November 8-19 and November 29 - December 10 in St Pete / Clearwater. Taking a break for the week of Thanksgiving, but currently scheduled for 4x 5-day weeks (20 total shoot days).
We are looking for an experienced DIT, ideally with their own DIT Kit & VTR equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure raw assets are offloaded, copied safely, and conformed as required
• Validate metadata, image, video, audio and timed text media assets
• Package raw assets and metadata as per editor's profile specifications
• Communicate and document internal rejections to the appropriate teams
• Verify integrity of deliverables and delivery package
• Maintain servicing action logs as needed
• Organize assets and proxies for lead editor per specifications
• Cloning of media drives to RAIDs
• Creation of proxy media per editor's specifications
• Troubleshooting of technical or workflow issues
• Efficient handoff of assets to lead editor
Key Skills:
• Understanding of various media formats such as video, audio, image and timed text.
• Understanding of industry format standards, timecode, framerate, codec, audio settings/configurations, and metadata
• Understand media encoding, transcoding, and file transfer protocols
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate and collaborate with all levels of personnel
• Keen data entry and proofreading skills
• Highly organized and be able to work with minimal supervision, escalating when needed
• Proficient with both Mac and PC
• Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve & Avid Media Composer workflow
• Proficiency with LUTs and initial color application for dailies
• Broadcast Deliverable Specifications
• Frame Rate Conversions
• Audio Normalization Guidelines
• Media Transfer Mechanisms (Aspera, Signiant, LucidLink, etc)
• Media Content Protection
