Major unscripted TV production company is looking for a versatile mid-level development executive with extensive casting experience and a masterful way with the written word. Position will be for one month and will then be extended to a more long-term basis if all goes well.
To qualify for this position, we're looking for someone with not only the below experience, but who has a strong drive and enjoyment for all things television.
- Experience with crafting a show from the initial conceptualization well into production.
- Extensive experience conducting talent interviews both remotely via Skype and in-person.
- Well versed with new trends in social media and how best to use them for finding specific types of talent.
- Knowledge of networks and their current/previous programming.
- Experience offering editorial notes on both casting and concept reels.
- Strong ability to write cast bios, show summaries, etc.
- Self-starter who doesn't need to be reliant on a supporting staff (we're a small development team who juggle many responsibilities)
- Experience managing/maintaining a production company's slate.
- Direct involvement in the sale of pilot/series within the last three years.
- Although not required, experience with graphics and editing (Avid or Premier) is helpful.
