Short Form & Social Media Producer
Company Overview: We are a dynamic and rapidly growing digital media company based in Raleigh, North Carolina dedicated to producing entertaining content for our YouTube channels in addition to our short form social media platforms. We are committed to creativity, innovation and fostering a positive online community.
Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and talented Short Form and Social Media Producer to join our team full time. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital media, have a strong understanding of YouTube shortform content creation across all social media platforms, and possess excellent video editing skills. This position will have total ownership from ideation to posting.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Conceptualize and produce engaging short-form video content for YouTube shorts, TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram feed and stories, focusing on trends, viral content, and audience interests.
• Collaborate with our CEO/Talent to brainstorm and develop new video ideas.
• Edit and optimize videos for all platforms, ensuring high-quality visuals, compelling storytelling, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Manage and maintain our shortform channels, including uploading videos, writing compelling titles and descriptions, and optimizing out output by analyzing our analytics.
• Create and execute social media strategies to promote any brand integrations throughout our content across various platforms.
• Monitor and analyze video performance metrics, audience engagement, and social media analytics to optimize content strategy and maximize reach.
• In charge of posting promotional assets across platforms in coordination with long form uploads - i.e., YouTube community post, IG feed, etc.
Requirements but not limited to:
• Experience in video production, particularly in creating short-form content for digital platforms is a must.
• See projects from ideation to posting which includes, coordinating with colleagues for best filming dates, filming, editing per platform, editing solo project and being able to edit from previously edited longer form materials, then uploading to platforms.
• Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of CEO/Talents Brand and best practices for platform growth.
• Strong familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for content distribution and audience engagement.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment while importantly being a self-starter who can self- manage and keep posting cadence on schedule without needing to be micromanaged. We really want this team member to have full ownership of this role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast- paced environment.
• Creative thinker with a passion for digital media and staying updated on industry trends.
• Ability to pivot at a moment’s notice in the ever-changing landscape of social media.
• Comfortable dealing with third parties when needed.
• Comfort with travel, when necessary, per content needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field would be great but not mandatory.
• Previous experience producing and editing Shortform, YouTube channels and/or other social media accounts.
• Knowledge of graphic design and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Photoshop) is a huge plus.
• Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, or social media insights platforms or the ability to learn.
• Has an up-to-date passport or the ability to acquire one upon hiring.
• Local to Raleigh North Carolina or willing to relocate to the area. (Must work in office M-F)
