We're looking for someone with experience in comedy and scenes with dance choreography.

Logline: Three close friends are appointed to protect their small, open community from a charismatic and ambitious grifter.

We will be filming a feature-length documentary about a group who reclaim and train wild ponies in Nevada, Utah and Southern California. The doc will end following a long ride of several hundred miles. Will involve travel, some rough living and a lot of shooting on the go.

The ideal DP should be comfortable working in a wide variety environments, situations and lighting conditions, all on the go, often with minimal power or grip. We'll also expect you to shoot beautifully-lit studio sit-down interviews, gorgeous panoramas and interesting verite. You will also be in charge of a B and C cam, so the ability to direct coverage of B-roll is a must. We're hoping for a final product that combines the look of Haskell Wexler with a touch of Errol Morris.

Project shoots for three weeks at the end of September, with a week of prep in late August. Based out of L.A. All travel and lodging is paid. Camera package is still TBD, but likely Alexa mini or C300 mkIII. Open to considering a package from you for an additional rental if you have one.

Ability to ride a horse is a strong plus.

Elemmir is a team of award-winning documentary filmmakers helping businesses tell stories across the globe. We are hiring a DP to set-up, film and capture broll for a client of ours in Stanford, CA. This will be a full day of work at the pay rate of $1,500/day.

The responsibilities include setting up your own gear (Sony cinema camera (FS7 or equivalent), lights, sound) and filming some broll. Media should be loaded onto a drive that will be provided and shipped day-of the shoot.

We are in search of a cinematographer with an old school, retro style of filmmaking not unlike that of cinematographers for various Spielberg films such as Douglas Slocombe (Indiana Jones), Dean Cundey (Jurassic Park) or Jaunz Kaminski (Ready Player One, Indiana Jones 4). As An Adventurer’s Tail style is meant to reflect old school movies from the 70s and 80s, those who have experience bringing that past style to life are recommended.

Shooting scene will take place at a single household, in which shooting will commence in a bedroom and attic-like shed. Scenes involving a dinner room may be shot if we have time. Those with montage, fast paced shooting experience are recommended for the job. Also there will be some vfx shots in the final short (a hologram).
