I'm a music video director looking for a Los Angeles-based DP to film a fun road trip-themed music video shoot in Santa Monica and Malibu on 5/16. It's pretty run and gun with a skeleton crew, so would like to bring someone who owns and operates a komodo/bmpcc6kpro/fx3/fx6 + ronin rs3 pro setup or similar. A rig that we can smoothly switch from gimbal to handheld to tripod as needed. ND filter would be crucial as well. Budget for DP is between 500-600 for the day. In need of a local DSLR crew (DP and Audio). It'll be in a nursing home with an older lady, so we want to keep gear/lighting/etc super simple so as to not overwhelm her or the other residents. Hey there, we're looking for a solo filmmaker who can do it all.

For this project you will be recording a talking head style interview with our client and grabbing some action shots around their home. You'll be responsible for setting up lights, running audio, and operating a teleprompter. The director will handle the creative, but you'll be responsible for everything technical on set.

We are looking for someone who has all of their own equipment for cam, lighting, and audio. If you have a teleprompter, great, and if you need to rent one we can likely cover the cost.

The shoot is in a rental location on Tuesday 4/23 (NOTE: NOT 4/18 - I can't edit that...) and possibly at the client's home for some action shots. Please confirm your availability when you apply.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

The shoot will be a small two-camera shoot where we will have the talent, DP, 1st Assistant Camera, and Sound Mixer on set. Two camera setup with a 9x16 frame safe. One camera will be wide and one camera will be for close-ups. Each recipe will be shot twice.

Producers will be patched in on Zoom; we will need to see what is on the camera and be able to speak with the talent via Zoom; We will need you to set up any lights that need to be set up; The shoot should be around 6-8 hours including setup, shoot, and breakdown.

We will pay a kit fee for cameras and G&E gear/equipment.

One day shoot and also one day for prep.
