Jupiter Entertainment seeks an experienced DP familiar with the FS7 and as local as possible to Toronto, ON to join us for a one-day pick-up sometime between 6/15 & 6/27 except 6/20. You will be joined by a Sound Mixer and a REMOTE Field Producer.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Read/Review shoot logistics, and attend Pre-Shoot Call(s) with producer and client to adequately prepare and set expectations
Secure all necessary gear, pack and be prepared for the unexpected (Not enough outlets? You have extra extension cords.. Memory card on the fritz? You brought an extra.)
Arrive early, prepared, and ready to communicate with the client
Manage, set up, and direct both narrative and non-narrative elements (interviews and b-roll)
Direct with clear story structures as well as dramatic arcs for emotionally engaging results in mind; while remaining true to the subject’s story
Be a master of light and always searching for ways to elevate the shot
Adhere to the visual, editorial, and technical standards as developed by the LocalEyes team, including but not limited to filming codecs, frame rates, and provided video file naming conventions
Instruct any additional camera operators regarding camera setup, angles, distances, movement, and other variables and signals cues for starting and stopping filming and ensure the overall quality of video captured across the team
Upload/deliver captured footage in a timely manner and notify the greater team of any anomalies ahead of time
Represent the LocalEyes team in a professional and approachable manner when in front of the client or crew
Always run the set with kindness and respect

Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Director of Photography
