We are assembling a crew for a feature-length digital series to be released on social apps. The script is approximately 70 pages long, and the production will take place in the Los Angeles area (within the 30-mile zone) as a Non-Union project.

The Editor's role is to serve as an all-in-one editor, responsible for editing, adding music, sound effects (if needed), and performing simple color grading on the final cut. We require the Editor to be present on set to initiate the rough cut process. The final cut must be completed within 2 to 2.5 weeks, with no more than three rounds of revisions.

There is no VFX editing involved. Music licenses and stock footage costs will be additional.

Video Story editor

Description: part-time position includes but is not limited to editing scripted episodes from 13 to 26 minutes; editor will create rough and final cuts of the episodes.
Remote work is possible, however, preferable if editor has the ability to meet in person with the Director in NYC for final cut review/editing session.

Requirements:
• Expertise with Avid and Adobe Premier
• Ability to edit independently
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in professional TV reality story editing and/or sitcom video editing.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Ability to work with a sound and music library and to independently choose music theme for the story mood.
• Strong storytelling abilities, sense of humor, and understanding of jokes.
• Fluent in English
• Good work ethic; attention to detail; self-discipline; ability to work on your own and meet deadlines; openness to feedback from other team members; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

We filmed a live concert in Italy, and a bunch of interstitial material in Italy to help create a short documentary. And a long documentary featuring clips from the wife show mixed with footage in Italy and photos. It's about an artist that goes back to his grandparents, hometown and plays a concert in the Piazza of the small Italian town. His grandfather was an opera singer, who immigrated to America 100 years ago, and unfortunately was gaslighting for American France during World War I. He did sing at the Metropolitan opera House in New York City behind world, famous singer Enrico Caruso, but could not continue his career due to the injury, sustained in World War I. He ended up living the last 35 years in his life today veterans hospital in New York City. And now the grandson takes it all full circle back to the hometown Natalie, and plays for the people of which many are actual cousins. We received press in the largest paper in Naples and have a lot of great footage to use. Plus, there's great history to draw from. We also have a lyric video for the next original song release and the one following it within the next few months. There will be more work for the editor if the job goes well and it there is a good chemistry built with everybody being happy working together. We don't have a big budget, but we can discuss it and make sure that everybody's on the same page as far as payment.
