Overview: Mythical is expanding its slate of original programming and seeks an experienced, talented and creative-minded Editor. This editor will be responsible for editing recurring series as well as new formats on our Mythical Kitchen and Rhett & Link channels.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with an eye for comedic and original content. They will demonstrate strong communication skills with ability to articulate creative direction and vision. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid grasp of the digital climate and the ability to handle a fast paced environment whilst simultaneously taking on several projects in various phases of post production.

Collaborate with Producers, Directors and Writers throughout all stages of production in order to thoroughly understand creative
Experiment with editing different versions of projects, exploring multiple directions if needed
Work on several in-house projects simultaneously
Manage the Assistant Editor in preparing and syncing footage for the projects your editing
Work with the Graphics team in order to properly insert all graphic elements
Track and manage the status of various edits at once, while prioritizing upcoming release schedules

Requirements:
2-3 years experience editing comedy forward unscripted content.
Experience editing in the digital space a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder; After Effects experience a major plus
In-depth understanding of the pre-production, production, and post-production processes
Experience in diverse formats: commercials, animation, scripted, variety, reality, documentary, photoshoots, digital, social media, music performance, music video

Essentially we are looking for a finishing Editor. Someone who can bring an hr cut down to 20 to 30 mins, Making audio adjustments throughout, do basic color adjustments. In addition we would would be looking for some basic text effects and adding in things like timers, transitions etc.

In addition, we would be looking for proper placement of basic effects provided in a template project file containing text animations, timers, transitions, etc. as well as occasional meme edits

We have normal effects (that you're not building from scratch) in our template, but we do require the occasional meme/funny edits that are specific to the video

Having experience with YouTube editing is ideal as you will understand pacing and current trends within the YouTube post world.

Ideally this person will be avail Monday through friday normal business hours 9am to 7pm. But would be lovely if editor is open to occasional weekend work as well.

We will pay a day or weekly flat rate. Rate is competitive.

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. You will be expected to be a strong collaborator and execute an efficient video production process to ensure clean, final delivery. Responsibilities:

NewsNation is currently searching for a freelance editor for our national newscasts, for our national newscasts, based in our new New York *** , with the opportunity for full-time staff positions as operations expand.

This opportunity is for someone that doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves and do something few have done before - launch a new 24-hour news network.

Job Description:

Editing assignments will range from quick voice overs, news packaged, to long form documentary style pieces, and maintain sound news judgment
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Q ualifications:

Five plus (5+) years' editing experience in fast-paced live television environment required
Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere.
Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A pr oblem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to find work arounds.
Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be self-sufficient and have a "press-on-regardless" attitude.
All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.3
Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field preferred.

This is an IBEW union PT position and union membership is required.
