JOB DESCRIPTION
TMZ is looking for a Web Editor to edit footage in a fast-paced news environment. The Web Editor will be responsible for editing and preparing video procured from various sources for web publication, as well as distribution to our mobile partners and other *** platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Video/audio editing with Adobe Premiere
• Cutting and exporting video images in Photoshop for thumbnails
• Cutting and exporting files for distribution to affiliates and other outlets
• Pitching stories for TMZ
• Online Video Platform familiarity (CMS, YouTube, JW Player, etc)

Job Summary:

The *** Owned Television Station group is looking for a dynamic, motivated Content Editor/Producer to join our team! The Content Editor/Producer (Full-Time) reports to the Director of Localish and works with teams across all stations as a member of the Central Content Group.

Job Summary/Description:

The person in this position is responsible for editing videos for all *** platforms and initiatives, including broadcast, web, digital, and social.

This employee also acquires video feeds from satellite, microwave, backpacks, and other transmission sources and ensures field crews are ready for air, including making necessary IFB assignments. This person is responsible for routing and recording all feeds into our content management system. This employee is also responsible for participating in maintaining and retrieving assets in the content management and archive systems as well as helping to maintain field operations equipment. Acquires video feeds from satellite, microwave, backpacks, and other transmission sources from the field and ingests them into the content management system for potential future use. Maintains the content management and archive systems. Retrieves assets in these systems as needed. Assists the Field Operations Manager in maintaining field operations equipment and related workflows.

Your New Role...

As a Video Editor at *** , you will be required to edit all content and elements for *** 's Amanpour shows for International and for Domestic. You will understand the different demands required to edit both effectively and creatively to deliver the Amanpour edit to *** I and to PBS.

This person will be a key element of a three-person Video Edit team within *** London's Amanpour show teams, collaborating with Christiane Amanpour and all the producers on the creative and editorial direction of the show, as well as advising on aspects of shooting and post-production techniques that will enhance the end product.

Amanpour content will include Interview blocks, VOs, packages through to complete shows construction, and post-production for both live and taped programmes as well as evergreen shows, using software such as Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• High quality and time-efficient video editing to create quality stories that meets the high standards for broadcast on *** International and the Amanpour shows generating revenue for the company.
  
• Editing of the PBS version of the Amanpour show.
  
• Training of additional editors brought on board to assist of the responsibilities and editing procedures required for the Amanpour shows edit and delivery.
  
• Keeping up to date a how-to manual on editing for the shows.
  
• Take responsibility for the housekeeping of the Amanpour shows.
  
• Making sure project *** and graphics kits are easily accessible to team members.
  
• Enable *** to be efficiently shared across multiple locations.
  
• Collaborate with producers, Control room and Graphics personnel on a creative and editorial 'vision' at the pre-production stage to streamline and enhance the Amanpour shows.
  
• Determining a specific look and feel required to ensure high quality on the Amanpour shows.
  
• Work on a variety of projects - from multiple edits, testing and troubleshooting of workflows, software and equipment, to pro-actively building collaborative working practices with the Amanpour editorial, engineering and newsgathering partners.
  

Qualifications and Experience...

• Deep technical knowledge of all Mac OS and Adobe Premiere Pro is essential.
  
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  
• Thorough understanding of *** management, show archiving and distribution.
  
• Able to adapt to the broadcast workflows upon which *** News programmes are produced.
  
• An ability to organize and *** manage the department's multiple *** projects.
  
• Confident and capable of providing feedback to senior management team on editing or workflow issues.
  
• Adapts well to change and is iterative and flexible with priorities, for example during breaking news.
  
• Willing to travel from time-to-time to work out of normal hours to cover the Amanpour edit needs.
