We create content that captivates a dynamic and diverse audience from around the globe.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful creative storyteller who is passionate about YouTube and the digital space to join our team located in Thousand Oaks, CA. You'll be editing videos that generate hundreds of millions of views for one of the largest YouTube channels in the world. If you have the ability to create videos that are highly engaging, we want to learn more about you!
You will:
Create, organize, and assemble projects
Handle video edits and iteration requests
Export final projects of a variety of different spec requirements while maintaining QC of the final product
Keep our server and projects organized upon completion
Suggest or select music
Collaborate with your team to research viral/trending content, develop original content ideas and ways of putting a unique spin on trends so that they fit our brand that are even more compelling
Create and implement GRFX, SFX, and VFX for all content
Incorporate your strong comedic instincts - we do our best to infuse comedy into everything we do
You should have:
3+ years of experience editing a combination of traditional and digital media
Unscripted experience, ideally with documentary and/or reality television editing
Knowledge of the YouTube space, the major players, our content, and opportunities for improvement
Deep experience with Premiere Pro and utilizing the Creative Suite
Ability to take the lead on projects with limited direction and initiative in developing new creatives
Experience creating and implementing GRFX, SFX, and VFX
Multi-cam editing experience
Experience syncing audio through multiple techniques
Deep storytelling experience, setting up characters, conflict, and crafting a compelling story with little or no script
Ability to align with the director's vision and bring it to life while bringing a fresh perspective to the table
A high level of emotional intelligence to convey strong emotions through your edits
Experience researching and developing
Experience working with brands
Experience incorporating learnings from analytics or audience feedback
Adaptable and ego-free, with the ability to take constructive feedback and opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive team environment
Ability to commute to/work on-site in Thousand Oaks, CA
