Emmy Award-winning production company is seeking a full-time editor to join the unscripted development department. The editor will work closely with the development team to help elevate pitch materials creating sales sizzles, promotional content, and casting tapes.

This position is designed for people who have a keen eye and a passion for unscripted storytelling and post-production. The development editor will:

Prepare media for new projects
Be a problem solver
Have an understanding of comedy and musicality
Have robust storytelling skills
Help with pulling sound bites and stringing out selects
Create and edit sizzles, promos, sales reels, casting selects, and presentation tapes with a quick turn-around time
Mix audio and choose appropriate music to elevate sales tapes
Create graphics and logos. GFX experience is a MUST
Pull content-aware footage and photos from the internet and edit into the tape
Create glossy and premium stringouts, sizzle reels, and casting tapes
Prepare projects for delivery
Effectively address notes on edits to execute changes in the tape

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience in professional video editing sizzles and trailers
Must have resume and current demo reel showcasing previous video editing work
Expert knowledge in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator and AVID editing software
Knowledgeable in aspect ratios, frame rates, conversions, codecs
Edit in an unsupervised capacity
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
Work under pressure within tight deadlines on multiple projects

West Los Angeles production company is seeking a seasoned Avid editor. Experienced in working with original content and archival assets to create a documentary series.

Looking for a talented editor to work with producers to the create a strong visual story. Must be great with music, sound effects and graphics. Skilled at preparing series for final color, mix and delivery. This is an on-site position.

We're looking for an Editor for a short film (Afro-futuristic sci-fi comedy) shooting this fall (aiming for October). QUEER FOR FEAR is a four part docu-series for a streaming service about the history of queer people in the thriller genre. From its literary origins with queer authors Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, and Oscar Wilde to the pansy craze of the 1920s that greatly informed Universal Monsters and Hitchcock, through the “lavender scare” alien invasion films of the mid-20th century and the AIDS obsessed bloodletting of 80s vampire films, QUEER FOR FEAR explores the role of the LGBTQ+ community in front of and behind the camera making the movies that thrill us. Through this rainbow lens, we will re-examine genre stories not as violent, murderous narratives, but as tales of survival that resonate thematically with queer audiences everywhere.

The project is Executive Produced by Bryan Fuller (American Gods, Star Trek: Discovery, Hannibal, etc) and Steak House (The Mustang, Disney Launchpad).

We’re looking for a Los Angeles-based Editor with documentary experience. Candidate must be fluent in AVID and have a knack for making archival footage and talking-head interviews sing and sparkle. Having a solid knowledge of horror films and experience with archival footage is preferred. Position starts August 29th-ish and runs through late September. Rate is $600/day.
