Starts Mar 20
For 4 Week(s)
Deliverable Date: ASAP (4-8 weeks depending on status of footage organization)
Needed Asset:
My team and I are looking for a short trailer to promote our news program, SYSTEM UPDATE (hosted by investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald), which premieres weeknights on independent media platform, Rumble. The plan is to use this trailer in a paid social media advertising campaign, primarily YouTube, placed in front of videos on peer channels. It will also live for some time in other places: pinned video on social media, the trailer on our YouTube channel, our website, etc.
We are looking for an exceptionally professional, polished end-product, highlighting the unique attributes of the show that distinguish it from an ever-expanding number of competitors. Among them:
Glenn Greenwald is a world-renowned journalist, with a long list of accomplishments and awards. He is best known for the Snowden reporting, which ultimately received a Pulitzer and was the subject of an Oscar-winning documentary. Fiercely independent and adversarial to power, he brings an important perspective to the current political/media landscape.
In contrast to corporate media and other competitors, we tend to dive deeply into a small number of issues every night, often covering stories that are misreported or under-reported in mainstream media. Beholden to no overbearing editorial oversight, we have the freedom to explore current events and pursue truth without concern for appeasing third-party stakeholders.
Our team has little capacity to be hyper-involved in this process. While we can definitely provide needed support and information, we are really hoping to find an editor who can create and implement the vision with as much independence as possible.

Looking for a specialized video editor-contractor for long-term on-going projects.
Subject matter is technical and scientific in nature so having STEM experience will go a long way, but not necessary. More importantly a genuine curiosity for the science behind our way of life and a high aptitude for learning new things is important here. The material can get very technical and the best way to assemble these videos is to understand what is going on in each one.
Would like you to be familiar with Adobe Premiere.
Would be a plus if you are familiar with the Iconik media asset management system.
Additionally you may be hired as post-production supervisor during production/photography, to be done remotely via live stream and teleconference, where you will participate directly with the crew on location. The goal here is to help you best understand what each particular video is about to get the most production value into the edit and to make sure you the shots you need for the edit. Travel will not be required for this job but may occasionally be offered based on the content.
Finally you will finish the edits themselves into cohesive/watchable learning videos.
The right person for this job will find limitless work not only making original learning video content but also updating other videos as scientific techniques and methods improve in them as well.
The start date posted on this job is not necessarily in-line with upcoming projects, but I would love to find the right editor.
