Job Title: Spanish Language Video Editor - Freelance Per-Project

Overview:
Condé Nast Entertainment is looking for video editors to cut Spanish-language digital content. Candidates must speak fluent Spanish and be able to translate and edit videos involving Spanish-speaking talent. CNE Video Editors bring compelling, culturally-impactful, entertaining, and diverse creative content to life every day. Candidates should be natural storytellers and creatives first, interested in a role that spans a wide array of projects and styles, and able to collaborate with many creative partners in Production and Programming. This position works closely with Directors, Producers, Post Production Supervisors, other post-production team members, and reports to the Supervising Editor.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Edit a variety of complex digital video concepts across Condé Nast’s portfolio of brands, primarily for YouTube in both English and Spanish

-Collaborate with Directors and Producers to meet the creative and technical goals of each unique project

-Able to quickly and independently cut to the essence of a story, and create compelling and entertaining narratives from diverse raw materials

-Maintain active lines of communication with Post Production Supervisors, Directors, and Producers throughout the course of a project; be vocal when it comes to a project’s scheduling, creative, and technical needs, and flag concerns or delays promptly

-Time management skills and flexibility are key to successfully stay on schedule in CNE’s fast-paced, high-volume post-production environment.

-For any assigned project, complete motion graphics, color correction, sound design and mix, deliverables, and cue sheets

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

-Fluency in Spanish required

-Minimum 4 years editing experience, primarily in digital video content; past work in a fast-paced, high-volume studio, media company, or post facility environment preferred

-Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere, with advanced capabilities with After Effects strongly preferred

-Strong finishing skills; able to handle color correction, sound mix, motion graphics, and possess the capability to deliver high quality design and stylized content

-Strong understanding of editing principles and current digital trends, with an ability to tell a cohesive story

-Must have impeccable organizational and communication skills

-Must be able to self-organize priorities to ensure that deadlines are met, adhering to best practices set forth by senior management

-Ability to problem solve and work through issues and produce under the pressure of deadlines

We are assembling a crew for a feature-length digital series to be released on social apps. The script is approximately 70 pages long, and the production will take place in the Los Angeles area (within the 30-mile zone) as a Non-Union project.

The Editor's role is to serve as an all-in-one editor, responsible for editing, adding music, sound effects (if needed), and performing simple color grading on the final cut. We require the Editor to be present on set to initiate the rough cut process. The final cut must be completed within 2 to 2.5 weeks, with no more than three rounds of revisions.

There is no VFX editing involved. Music licenses and stock footage costs will be additional.

Olga X is an x-Russian, x-actress, and 2x-wife who tries to fix everyone & everything, starting with her BF and American Reality TV. A few issues: she speaks almost no proper English, knows no one in show biz, and even less about men.

Video Story editor

Description: part-time position includes but is not limited to editing scripted episodes from 13 to 26 minutes; editor will create rough and final cuts of the episodes.
Remote work is possible, however, preferable if editor has the ability to meet in person with the Director in NYC for final cut review/editing session.
Starting time: end of November 2023
Requirements:
• Expertise with Avid and Adobe Premier
• Ability to edit independently
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in professional TV reality story editing and/or sitcom video editing.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Ability to work with a sound and music library and to independently choose music theme for the story mood.
• Strong storytelling abilities, sense of humor, and understanding of jokes.
• Fluent in English
• Good work ethic; attention to detail; self-discipline; ability to work on your own and meet deadlines; openness to feedback from other team members; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

We are a LA-based production company looking for an editor who has experience editing unscripted dating shows. Examples would be "Married at First Sight", "90 Day Fiancé", "Temptation Island", "Farmer Wants a Wife", etc. If you are the right candidate you know that it requires finding the right moments, building the suspense, and tugging on the heartstrings of the viewer. It truly is an art that we respect and need for our pilot.
