A renowned Los Angeles-based production company with a strong global brand is seeking a Development Editor to add to our team. We’re looking for someone who has experience cutting sizzles across genres (male, female, formats, docu, game). The editor will work closely with our development team in writing sizzle scripts, creating and editing sizzle reels, talent reels and/or presentations.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:

Qualifications:

-- Expert at editing in AVID
-- Experience with graphics/motion graphics (After Effects) and a strong sense of music are a plus

Seeking an experienced unscripted TV avid editor for 2 days to help us finish off a sizzle tape. The project is in the male space (History, Nat Geo, Discovery), involves original multiple-cam footage and has a format. Beautifully shot with strong characters. This project is at an advanced stage and you would be helping us finish it off and address notes.

Must be willing to work from our offices in the playa district.

Editing Hihglite Videos for the event.
There will be 2- 3 Camera Operators filming the event (not full event sessions, but people interactions, event setups, time-lapse, establishing shots, event activities. The idea of the videos is to show how much FUN and exciting these events have been for the participants by recapping and rewarding the participants.)
Each event will consist of 3-5 Days of very long days working. Please send me your rate. Don't be shy. (you can do hourly BUT flat rate up to 18 hours is preferred with an hourly OT rate after 18 hours.
Job details:
Create a 3-4 minute high energy, fast cutting and dynamic video to be played at the conclusion of the event chronicling all of the event sessions and all other related activities i.e. parties, from the start of the event to the morning of the last day, with final safety version due on the last day of the event by 11am.
• Please plan for 2-3 review sessions.
• Up to 3 video versions may be edited after 11 am to enhance the earlier version until the video plays to the audience.
• The Company will provide an onsite producer as your constant point of contact.
• A reference video will be provided so that a discussion regarding the look and feel of highlights can be confirmed.
• Estimated Workflow: +/- 60 hours total over a 2-3-day period editing this video piece.

• Format for Onsite Delivery - 1920x1080 Codec – H.264 Medium

A production company in Los Angeles is seeking a show editor for a network series on Disney. We are looking for flexible teammates who can seamlessly plug into our existing production, potentially for a steady, long-term gig. The show is a half-hour clip show and focuses on video games with quick jokes and recurring comedy bits. This position is responsible for taking a script and 5-6 raw clips and delivering rough and fine cuts for network feedback. Comedy timing and sensibilities are required. Video game knowledge is a plus. Desire to work in a relaxed, casual start-up environment is also ideal.

CALICO has a premium documentary series for Hulu, about the dramatic journeys of prominent figures in pop culture. Each 30 min self-contained doc will be released and pinned to celebratory months (eg. Women’s History Month, Pride, etc). We're hiring documentary editors, preferably with premium doc and/or feature experience, with strong story instincts and an elevated sense of music and style.
