Position Summary
Finance news brand looking to onboard a Streaming Editor (Streaming/Amagi/Package). This role is a pivotal piece of the Post-production infrastructure and key assets that keep the brand running. This position is responsible for delivery to Amagi and other various OTT and social media platforms. They also assist editors and help with ingest and transmission operations. The person in this role provides daily dedicated edit support to the brand. The Streaming Editor must be well-versed in Premiere. A working knowledge of other aspects of the Adobe Creative Suite is also a significant plus.
Streaming Editors must be technically proficient, capable of working both in and out of the office, and able to assimilate changing workflows as the edit infrastructure evolves with changes in technology. This position will work directly with the Amagi programming scheduler/programmer, and their attention to detail is critical. The Amagi delivery process is nuanced and complicated, so your attention to detail and quality control skills must be paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Prep and deliver all Amagi video assets, especially daily highlights show (quick turnaround each day), weekly highlights and specials
- Pre-edit daily packages with fast turnaround times
- Trim, screen, time, encode, and deliver all brand video assets to the platform
- Work closely with producers to make content cuts and trims for pieces going on Amagi
- Ensure each video meets strict Amagi technical specifications
- Work closely with the OTT Linear Channel Manager to ensure all videos are prepped and delivered on time
- Troubleshoot issues/problems with Amagi delivery system and 3play captioning service
- Update scheduling sheets
- Work alone and in tandem with producers/clients, anticipating needs, meeting and exceeding corporate brand standards, and delivering content on time in an intense, deadline-driven environment.
- Communicate in an appropriate and timely manner with Post leadership and project leads to relay issues and concerns about individual edits, technical issues, and deadlines. Also regularly update media and project tracking documents as necessary.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with the IT Team and Post Management.
- Find existing video assets for sizzles/reuse
- Assist with the archive process
- Provide general support for finance editors
- Work with producers to make fixes

Qualifications
- Adobe Premiere Proficiency (Experience working with Graphic templates and MGRTS within Premiere required, AfterEffects experience preferred)
- Experience in live news environments, finance news, or short-form series/packages
- Assistant Editor must thrive under deadline pressure and be able to juggle multiple tasks and assignments.
- Be able to work within and conform to established organizational systems and work/troubleshoot in team environments.
