Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. Responsibilities:

- Stay up-to-date on the workings of company systems including proprietary infrastructures, working with the post support team to source and acquire assets as necessary for projects.

Qualifications:

- An exceptional storyteller with a proven track record of editing high-quality, original field production with the audience and platform in mind.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere.
- Must be experienced working with graphic templates and MGRTS within premiere. AfterEffects experience preferred.
- Comfortable sourcing pictures, video, soundbite from subscriptions services, including AP, Reuters, Getty, etc.

Job Summary/Description:

**** seeks a dynamic Web Producer/Video Editor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts and online content. This position will also work closely with the Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and news staff on the newscast and web/social *** content. In this position, you will edit video, work within the newscasts as a writer and writer/associate producer, and also develop content for all our digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Edit video on a deadline, working with the Producer towards a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers' interests
• Produce content for ****.com, and promote our coverage on our social *** feeds, funneling the audience to our site and our broadcast
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
• Communicate with anchors, field crews, and control room staff

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or a related field is desired
• 1-2 years of experience producing newscasts or news content online
• Must keep up with local, state, national and international events
• Organized; able to work with many personality types
• This position requires someone who can exercise discretion, best judgment, and has solid journalistic/ethical skills

Prepare video for newscasts using server-based editing and playback system.
Edit special assignments as needed.
Might be required to upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station's website and social *** platforms.
Will work independently, managing simultaneous projects and meeting tight deadlines.

YOU HAVE:

Ability to operate server-based editing and playback systems, including Avid Editing System (non-linear).
Ability to label, codify and enter video information into library, working with a non-linear archive system.
Knowledge of the INews, rundowns and news production terms such as Voice Over, Full Track and any combination of video, sound, and graphics required for the stories.

At least one year of a TV station or production house experience in video production and/or post-production service.
A High School diploma, but a college degree or technical school training in Journalism, Radio/Television, Production/ENG or related field from accredited University, will be an advantage.
Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish is required, both written and verbal.

Digital and/or News Photographer experience will be a plus.
