We have recently transitioned from Final Cut Pro to Adobe Premiere, so knowledge of both platforms is required. This is a remote position, but it will be required to go into our LA-based office for training and potentially one day a week.
What You’ll Do:
- Collect drives from production teams, offload/upload media and assets and ensuring all footage is accounted for, verify data backups, and stored in the proper locations in a timely manner
- Review media, catch and flag any production errors, issues, or inconsistencies to all stakeholders
- Import and prepare all project assets into Adobe Premiere working with the Lead Assistant Editor to maintain Kin’s workflow standards
- Build multicam clips from source material according to project specs

Overview:
The QC Coordinator reviews all project deliverables from internal and external post production teams before publishing and archiving. As the last line of defense before publishing, QC Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring that CNE video content looks and sounds its best, airs without errors, and adheres to strict standards for various types of deliverable assets. The QC Coordinator reports to the Supervisor, QC, and works closely with video editors, Post Production Supervisors, Scheduling, Video Operations, and the Media Asset Management team. This role may occasionally require extended hours and weekend work in order to get the job done.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review in-progress edits and all project deliverables (video, audio, images, documentation) for quality and adherence to required technical specifications; catch spelling errors, improper framing, glitches, improper color and audio levels, off-brand/off-series errors, and more before air and archive
- Relay QC notes to editors and ensure all applicable assets are redelivered as needed
- Manage a steady queue of deliverables across several projects and brands with competing priorities and shifting air dates, pivoting when necessary and communicating deliveries and delays to Scheduling and Publishing teams
- Stay on the pulse of updated style guides and series tags, ensuring newly published content keeps up to date with brand/series refreshes.
- Help enforce standards, policies, and procedures for asset delivery and archiving
- Assist with media requests such as pulling archived episodes, transcoding videos for external delivery partners, etc.
- When possible, preview content ahead of initial delivery and QC review; provide quality-control feedback to editors, audio mixers, and colorists during a project, and provide feedback to associated team members
- Liaise with various CNE teams for inbound and outbound delivery requests, technical-related inquiries involving delivery specs, transfer credentials, and sending requests (via SFTP, Signiant, Hightail, etc.)

- 1-2 years of experience in a post-production environment, with skills revolving around asset management and delivery
