Job Description
Financial news network is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms. These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats. You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate network's feature video stories. You will be expected to be a strong collaborator and execute an efficient video production process to ensure clean, final delivery. Attention to detail, clear communication and being mindful of deadlines are a must. Strong candidates will be comfortable balancing a variety of projects and deadlines while working with different producers.

Responsibilities:
- Edit original features using Adobe Premiere, for audiences across our daily live distribution onsite and off, YouTube, and major social platforms.
- Help conceptualize, manage and execute visually dynamic, original edits in a deadline-driven environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the workings of company systems including proprietary infrastructures, working with the post support team to source and acquire assets as necessary for projects.
- Communicate in an appropriate and timely manner to relay issues and concerns about individual edits, technical issues and deadlines.
- Regularly update media and project tracking documents as necessary.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with the IT team and post management.
- Develop and grow audience engagement across major platforms and help editorial leads establish and maintain OKR goals
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience editing narrative features for onsite and OTT.
- An exceptional storyteller with a proven track record of editing high-quality, original field production with the audience and platform in mind.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere.
- Must be experienced working with graphic templates and MGRTS within premiere. AfterEffects experience preferred.
- Comfortable sourcing pictures, video, soundbite from subscriptions services, including AP, Reuters, Getty, etc.
- Editor must thrive under deadline pressure and be able to juggle multiple tasks and assignments.
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
- Be able to work within and conform to established organizational systems and work/troubleshoot in team environments.
- Quality control of all video assets sent to the control room and published to our site and OTT platforms.

Major international production company based in Stamford, Connecticut is looking to staff up a new cable reality docu-series for A&E. We are specifically looking for Editors with at least 5 years experience cutting in the reality genre. Must have strong story telling skills and be comfortable receiving and implementing notes. Our ideal candidates are team players with positive attitudes. In person work is required for this project.

We are a beverage marketing agency that is creating a tour video that shows the entire wine harvest process all the way from grape growing until the wine is in the glass. We are utilizing half of a previous project's cut/footage(which I will provide the project file) along with new footage recently shot. We are looking for someone who can take a lot of footage(about 4TB) and make something cohesive and easy to consume as a story.

Most of the footage was shot on RED and Sony, with some drone from a Inspire 3 as well as a Mavic 3 Cine. We have a colorist, but would want someone who can general work with a LUT and do basic balancing so the drafts are presentable to client.

Rate listed will require 3 rounds of notes, and then the project will be passed on to our colorist, who will then make any final changes and export out all masters. Please provide a demo reel of your work to be considered for the job!

Looking for an editor for a potential ongoing project. We're piloting a digital series for a non-profit which will have guests talk about how they acquired leadership skills and passing on their knowledge for viewers. Looking for an editor to help us craft the pilot (about 4-6 minutes). Ideally the editor will have some motion gfx experience to help us create the title open as well. After establishing the pilot we may want to extend the contract for 20+ episodes over the course of the rest of 2024.

Looking for a trailer editor to come in and edit a 2 minute trailer for a proof of concept fantasy/sci-fi adventure series for kids based on a video game. The trailer will also need to be broken down into smaller bit pieces for use on social media and marketing campaigns. All footage was shot on a green screen stage and will have a ton of VFX elements so you will have to work with our VFX team. Everything was shot in 6K on a RED camera. We have about 1.4 TB worth of content that will need to be condensed into a nice sizzle trailer. You will be provided with a script and shot list as a reference. Need an editor to edit b-roll and interview selects on location for quick turn media packages. We are producing a launch event in Bryan, TX on September 17th. Editor will be responsible for taking footage captured on site and editing a selects package that will be distributed to media partners. Event will run approximately 20 minutes with key b-roll and interviews being captured before and after.

Hi! We are looking for an editor for an upcoming corporate video. It will be approximately 10 minutes and will include interviews, b-roll, screen recordings, and graphics. The shoot will be the week of September 2 and the final cut will be due the week of September 16.

While you will be working remotely, we would like to work with someone who lives in close proximity to Allentown, PA (includes NYC, Philly area) so it's easier to transfer footage. There is opportunity for future freelance projects after this one is completed.
