Looking for Executive Producer experienced in telling stories in a more cinematic, documentary style fashion. Think an arced follow doc with a style similar to "Chef's Table" or "Abstract." Looking for a true storyteller. This will be a long production so having the ability to follow multiple stories over several months is key. The subject is in the home space so a general understanding of build would be helpful as well although not a necessity. Some travel will be required.

This position coordinates the content and presentation of broadcasts under the direction of the Assistant News Director and VP of News.

Essential Functions :

Assist VP of News, Assistant News Director and Managing Editor in managing the day-to-day news operation.
Participate in daily planning meetings.
Contribute ideas for news programming based on the *** Connecticut News Strategy.
Oversee show production.
Share responsibility for determining the composition and flow of all newscasts, selecting video, writing, and copy-editing stories.
Work closely with producers, anchors, reporters, editors, digital team, and technical crews to make certain program elements abide by *** Owned Stations News Guidelines as well as the *** Connecticut News Strategy.
Work with Assistant News Director to ensure training and coaching is provided for Producers.
Schedule and maintain regular feedback sessions with direct reports to work on writing, showcasing, and other elements.
Motivate staff though effective implementation of *** 's performance management process.
Facilitate the orientation of new employees.
Implement *** Connecticut news standards and ensure adhered to while producing news programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of related work experience includingdirect responsibility for producing a news program and preparing rundowns.

We're hiring an Executive Producer to lead the team behind LiveNOW from *** , *** TV Stations' national live streaming news product. We are focused on bringing users the most relevant and engaging live news coverage occurring right now across the country and the world, seamlessly moving *** ween the biggest events and stories as they happen. LiveNOW from *** is always raw, live and unfiltered, with limited commentary and no opinion.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee production of LiveNOW and manage its editorial staff, including digital journalists and producers. Lead editorial process, helping to cultivate ideas and prioritize resources. Responsible for all editorial decisions.
