Looking for a Field producer who can wear many hats, be our leader on set and jump in head first for an upcoming shoot in and around the LA area - tentatively planned for Wednesday 7/28.

We will be shooting a sizzle for a docu-follow food/travel show exploring the Asian American experience through food and our host's personal story. A good reference point would be CNNs “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy”. We will be working with one celebrity talent and shooting in x2 locations on the 28th: where there will be some scene work in one and then a sit down interview at a secondary location in the afternoon.

Applicants will not be considered unless you have credited experience directing x2 cameras and working with celebrity talent.

Job Description

Do you love pop culture and entertainment news? What about trends, viral videos, and social *** ? Access Hollywood is looking for a Field Producer to deliver and execute creative content around a variety of topics including entertainment news, human interest, and celebrity features. Reporting to the Executive Producer and Supervising Producers, as well as working closely with our Production teams, this role will be responsible for the execution of daily editorial content covering an array of topics in a variety of forms, from breaking news to red carpets to oversight and execution of package pieces.

This position will crash day of air pieces and breaking news, so writing, edit, and strong storytelling skills are a must. This position will produce in the field and at offsite interviews when needed, source and advance news stories, and work well within a team environment. Must be comfortable developing ideas that work across all *** including on air, digital, and social *** .

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee creative segments under the direction of the EP, Co-EP, and Supervising Producers as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
Be a one-person band when necessary, crashing day of air pieces for broadcast with quick turnarounds.
Contribute towards building the brand identity by being able to take information and create engaging and interactive formats in which the viewer can participate.
Write scripts and execute story telling visually through the selection of appropriate still and video images within budget and time parameters and while maintaining factual accuracy.
Attend junkets, premieres and other outside events, including award shows, to execute news coverage.

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. The role requires someone who can showrun multi-channel content across a variety of formats. You should be able to oversee the entire process from the onset: ideation, to development, to launch, to ongoing development and growth. What You'll Do:

Lead the day-to-day production for a variety of podcasts, supporting in all aspects of content development, editing, publishing, promotion, and monetization
Conceptualize new show launches from scratch, collaborating with talent and senior leadership on content, formatting, production, and distribution strategies
Lead a team of show editors, associate producers, and social coordinators, creating a collaborative team environment
Effectively communicate with all cross-functional teams, ensuring information is delivered to the proper parties, including sales, marketing, and PR.
Educate and elevate all talent and staff, coaching them on best practices, maximizing their skillsets
Ensure all sponsorship requirements are completed and QC'd, including host-read ads, sponsored segments, and video/social integrations
Collaborate with internal teams to execute an effective promotional strategy across a variety of mediums
Assist in recording episodes, along with guest booking and coordination, both in person and remotely
Create and manage production schedules and calendars to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner
Keep up with news and trends to understand how to develop programming based on what is resonating with audiences
Assemble all episode files and QC before publishing to ensure quality standards are high
Track show analytics and audience trends, use creative judgement to help shape future editorial decisions
Liaise with senior leadership to provide show updates, feedback, and growth plans

Who You Are:

4+ years of content development experience in podcasts, radio, television or similar
Strong passion for sports; knowledge of current and historical information across a variety of teams and leagues, both pro and collegiate
Highly skilled with audio + video recording and editing software and hardware
Collaborative leader, able to both give and take direction/feedback on various projects
Extremely well organized, able to manage projects at various stages simultaneously
A willingness to problem solve, and an attitude to always do what is needed to get the job done
A creative outside-the-box thinker, ideating new ways to engage audiences across a variety of platforms
