Looking for experienced Field Producer for late night HBO show. This candidate should be capable of overseeing all aspects of a field shoot from inception to wrap, including but not limited to: hiring crew, booking equipment, scheduling, insurance, and all other logistical aspects of pre-production, on-set filming, and post-production wrap. This candidate should have experience with union crews and productions. An interest in creative is a plus.

Job Description

Field Producer, ***

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.
Production responsibilities may include research, conducting interviews, writing and editing, field producing and overseeing editing.
Pitching story ideas and working on assigned stories developed by the editorial planning team.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with, and being knowledgeable of and current on companies in the universe of coverage.
Communicating clearly with reporter and field production crews to determine best coverage plan and live remote locations.
Maintaining all video/digital records, feed necessary and relevant video to bureau/headquarters, communicate to editors and/or desk producers how video should be cut/taken to air.
Communicating with *** News desk editors on available live times, understanding and owning all live hit requests, disseminating hit times to reporter and team on the ground. The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Responsibilities include coming up with ideas for distinctive stories, researching them and making successful pitches to editorial leaders. The successful candidate will then see stories through to broadcast and publication. Field Producers work hand in glove with some of the world's most respected correspondents and will be required to operate at the highest standard. Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. Handle a prime time late season established series that continues to need production and editorial oversight. This includes working with production company and PMD on schedule, budget questions, casting, editorial screening, deliverables and working with all in house departments including talent relations, marketing, press, ad sales, scheduling and production management.

What you'll do:
