Hello! My name's Josh and thanks in advance for reading my post! I'm a producer in the middle of preproduction for a micro-budget short narrative film. This is a passion project being created by a team of filmmakers who simply love movies and want to bring great stories to life. We're hoping to find passionate crew to join our project. To tell you a bit more about the film, here's a note from my director:
I’ve always been intrigued by two things: Coping mechanisms and people being stuck in life.
With regards to coping mechanisms, I think we only ever see a small portion of the “coping” spectrum on display in the media (cue binge drinking, anonymous sex, junk food comas). We rarely see people with really bizarre brands of coping obsessions on screen. People are weirdos. There’s more out there to mine.
Second, I’ve gotten stuck many times in life. We all have. When we’re stuck or in a funk, we long to be jolted out of it and into something fantastic... A new relationship, a better job, a state of mind, a more interesting city. Or simply a reminder that what we already have is fantastic. A renewed joie de vivre. That “jolt” is out there but, as we look for it so intentionally in the modern era, we’ve forgotten that it is organic. It’s not convenient. You can’t UberEats it directly to your front door. It’s delightfully unorthodox and unpredictable. Slippery. You never know when it’s going to happen. No one is its’ master.
This movie is about that jolt. It’s about someone stuck in a nostalgic loop, using an unconventional coping method to try to get through it, and how preposterous it can be when they collide with another person.

We hope you're intrigued! We'll also mention that we have real talent involved - not A List, but folks you might recognize.
With all of that said, we're looking for a passionate gaffer to join us. Again, it's micro-budget, so we don't have much money, but we do have a little! Thanks again for your time and we look forward to hearing from you!

PS - our production window is 11/30 through 12/6. We are planning for a pre-light on 11/30, shoot 12/1-4, down 12/5, last day 12/6. These will be later days / possibly some overnights. We'd love for someone to come onboard in full, but we are definitely open to day-players!
