Job Summary/Description:
The News Editor position requires knowledge of non-linear video editing. Must be capable of Editing news stories in various forms for newscasts and various digital platforms. Receive and follow instructions on editing ENG material, from talent or producers. May have to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Edit video as assigned for newscasts and various digital platforms.
- Upload/download video to partner outlets/platforms.
- Communicate with team in the newsroom.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of prior editing experience, preferably in a TV newsroom.
- Knowledge of Edius editing software preferred.
- Flexible work hours required.
- College degree preferable, but not required.
