Job Description

The Graphic Producer will be responsible for the creation of graphic elements which include written/visual content under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment including but not limited to a control room.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the content producers to find innovative ways to enhance the on-air content with graphic elements.
• Responsible for the creation of the graphic elements in INews.
• Work hand in hand with the graphic department to get the latest graphic look for on-air and have knowledge of the latest graphic technologies.
• Check and review graphics for grammar, spelling, clarity, and impact under tight deadlines during live productions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Works under the direct supervision of Executive Producer and is responsible for

completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in communication, graphic design, and/or production.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in television production or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
• General computer skills: Microsoft Office, iNews and Avid *** Central.
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).

• Work with directors and producers to ensure all graphic elements are ready for air: correct spelling, functionality, format, and concept.
• Pre-show, use the newsroom system to review all graphics to confirm accuracy related to graphics elements.
• Coordinate with producer before each show on graphic needs, i.e. missing or incorrect elements.
• Communicate with director on channel assignments and designate output engines within playlist.
• Keep crew informed on the availability of each element. Producer & director must be notified of any spelling, functionality, or format errors related to individual graphic elements.
• Coordinate and communicate with the Design Group to test new templates and assets.
• Report show problems, equipment issues, and discrepancies to Director for Show Report

• Associates degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience

Your New Role:
The Graphics Operator is responsible for helping WBD productions achieve excellent technical, creative, and visual results because of the prep, transfer, and playback of on-screen and studio graphics during live game and/or studio broadcast productions. They are proficient with the operation of character generated hardware/software tools used during live game and studio broadcast productions. The Graphics Operator is also responsible for maintaining a high level of skill and knowledge regarding a wide variety of hardware/software tools used in the Graphics department. This person will have a passion for sports with a creative eye and understanding for storytelling.

Your Role Accountabilities:

LIVE/TAPED PRODUCTIONS

• Partner with Technical Operations and Production Assistant to set up graphics machines for the specific needs of the live game and/or studio broadcast production.
• Build graphics packages for WBD Broadcast Production clients using elements created by our Graphics Design team to construct graphics templates which will be used by all graphics operators on the live game and/or studio broadcast productions.
• Partner with the Client's Production Assistant to prepare graphics needed for specific live productions in advance.
• Operate graphics' machines with efficiency and accuracy to recall all needed graphical elements created during prep sessions and/or live game/studio broadcast productions.
• Able to manipulate graphics and create new graphics on the fly during live game and/or studio broadcast productions as needed or requested by the WBD Broadcast Production client.
• Must be able to handle the pressures of live programming and limited time constraints

COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION

• Work closely with Technical Operations and Production (BEST) Engineering to identify, troubleshoot and solve technical problems in graphics workflow for Live Location and Production Control Room broadcast. Making sure each problem is resolved to completion.
• Collaborates with Production (BEST) Engineering, Technical Operations and Production Management to identify and special order any equipment needed for live game and/or studio broadcast productions.

PLANNING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates documentation on graphics builds and graphics machine set ups for each broadcast production
• Proactively develops new skills related to the current graphics systems at Techwood *** as well as ancillary applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio, etc. Applies new skills and knowledge to current projects and processes, pushing the capabilities of the existing technology.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Minimum of 3 years of network level broadcast production experience operating as a Graphics Operator for live game, live remote and/or live studio productions
• Knowledge of industry standard graphics software (ROSS Xpression, Chyron, VizRT, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Able to read/follow documentation explaining workflows for specific graphics equipment and productions
• Good computer skills, such as MS Office
• Able to work flexible, non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays

Not Required but preferred experience:

• Knowledgeable of iNews
• Knowledge of major sports (NBA, MLB, NHL, US Soccer, etc)
• Knowledgeable of new technologies available or on the horizon

JOB DESCRIPTION
*** Sports is looking for a Freelance Graphics Coordinator to join their team in Charlotte, NC. As the Freelance Graphics Coordinator, you will exist as a liaison *** ween various production arms within the FSMG and the graphics department. The line management for the position is from the Freelance Graphics Coordinator to the Director, Production and RSN Integration, to the Senior *** President, Graphic Production, to Executive *** President/Creative Director, Graphics.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive, research, and process all requests for graphic creation from assigned production and follow through to completion and delivery
• Establish communication with Coordinating Producer to ensure proper scheduling and tracking of projects
• Deal with day-to-day operations of all production in progress through producers
• Compile and maintain all compilation reels for assigned production along with seasonal updates
• Attend all project related meetings, take notes and distribute
• Follow-up with logs, style guides, and tool kits
• Schedule and supervise edit and audio sessions as needed
• Work with Graphics Technology group within department for all elements (including style guides) needed to complete remote and studio deliveries

A strong News Editor displays confidence in anticipating and reacting to breaking news and other developing storylines across multiple sports, with an emphasis on college sports and particularly college football. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY *** TV Stations

*** Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). JOB DESCRIPTION
*** 13 and *** 13+ the *** O&O Duopoly in Seattle is seeking a dynamic video editor to join our news team. We are looking for someone who will do more than just lay shots onto a timeline. The successful candidate will be a collaborator who transcends all newsroom workgroups - to ensure our stories come to life with the best possible visuals. We are seeking an editor who is familiar with a diverse array of video editing techniques. For example - video used in a fast-paced nightly sportscast will be cut differently than a serious 3-camera anchor interview. What's more - your work will be showcased in a variety of *** : television newscasts, digital *** , specials & documentaries, and social *** posts.

Our editing team uses Edius to cut video, but experience on similar non-linear editing platforms like Avid or Final Cut is also acceptable. You should be familiar with basic journalistic editing functions, as well as advanced techniques and effects that can enhance traditional video. This would include products in the Adobe Suite. The successful candidate will possess superior editorial judgement, work well in a deadline-driven environment, and be capable of editing video quickly, accurately and creatively. This is a full time position with a regular shift schedule, but the news is a 24/7 world that could include different hours or shifts if warranted for breaking news, special coverage, vacation relief or holidays.

• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

• Ability to use tools, manipulate small parts, and make minute adjustments to controls requiring fine finger movements.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $27.61-32.42 per hour for Washington. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. News Video Editor

****, the *** affiliate in Des Moines, IA has an opening for a News Video Editor. You will cover news stories as assigned. You have an excellent eye for visual compelling storytelling and are passionate about combining writing and storytelling with great pictures and sound. You will report to the Chief Photographer.

Responsibilities

• Edit stories, videos, and newscasts on tight deadlines
• Maintain news archives
• Operate electronic newsgathering equipment
• Nonlinear editing using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, and Edius for newscast elements including PKGs, VOs, VOSOTs, opens, teases and preproduction material
• Collaborate with producers, reporters and managers to produce high quality stories
• Ensure storage and organization of *** files
• Maintain standards for all edited material
• Taking in ENG and SNG feeds
• Any other editing responsibilities as assigned by news managers

Requirements

• Knowledge of nonlinear editing software
• Proficiency editing with Adobe Premiere
• Can handle and juggle multiple editing assignments under strict deadlines
• Knowledge of current video production techniques
• Familiarity with mass communications law and *** responsibilities
• Record multiple feeds on a digital encoding system
• Search for source materials from multiple outlets and platforms
• Related military experience will be considered
