We are looking for a reliable and experienced grip to work on our video sets both in-studio and on-location. This person should be a self-motivated, proactive team player and have several years of experience working in the industry.
The successful candidate is a charismatic professional with a passion for working well with clients and coworkers. Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills are of the utmost importance. Attention to detail is a must.
Grip Responsibilities:
Unpacking camera and rigging equipment.
Setting up lights and accessories with director/camera operator
Assembling camera rigging which may include dollies, jibs, static rigs, cranes, and tracks.
Setting up boom microphone.
Moving set pieces during shoot.
Moving light fixtures.
Assisting the camera operator, i.e focus pulls.
Assisting with lighting patterns/sequences during shoot.
Packing up equipment and set at end of shoot days.
Maintaining and organizing equipment.
Grip Requirements:
Degree in film or video preferred.
Previous experience working as a grip in the film or video industry.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Ability to work long days.
Ability to travel for shoots.
Good communication skills.
