THE CANDIDATE WE ARE SEEKING
You will be working as part of our nimble and passionate Post Production team who creates content that generates hundreds of millions of views across YouTube and TikTok. We are seeking a highly passionate Assistant Editor who is hungry and excited to learn, work hard and take on as much responsibility as possible to grow into a Lead Editor position. The ideal candidate has a native understanding of YouTube and TikTok, is organized, creative and a quick learner.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE
- Support the Lead Editor and Post-Production Coordinator in the following areas:
- Creating GFX in Photoshop and After Effects
- Ingesting footage
- Multicam syncing
- Creating proxies
- Setting up and maintaining projects for the Lead Editor
- Completing initial cut downs and rough cuts
- Prep shots for the VFX team
- General file management
- Making sure videos meet our QC standards
- Finding/creating SFX
- Editing TikToks and YouTube Shorts (for 2 creators with 7 million and 8 million TikTok followers respectively)
- We are looking for you to ultimately work into a Lead Editor position for YouTube Shorts and TikTok content.
- Constantly looking for ways to take as much off of the Lead Editor and Post Coordinator's plates as possible.
- Passionate about learning new skills and techniques related to software and storytelling.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE
- Experience as an Assistant Editor
- 2-5+ years experience editing in Premiere Pro
- 2-3 years of experience using Photoshop and After Effects
- Extremely fast and skilled with MacOS
- Extremely fast learner
- Detail-oriented and organized in all facets of work
- Driven to grow in responsibility within the Post-Production department
- Passionate about the social and digital media space

Looking for a freelance Junior Editor to assemble a cut for a documentary about experiences with the afterlife. Documentary is not fully filmed yet but you would be assembling one storyline of a multi-storyline documentary. Director is a multi-award winning filmmaker.

Junior Editor would be responsible for sorting through hours of footage, organizing, sorting through transcripts, and working with the director to assemble a cohesive storyline, with an artful editing approach.

Looking for a freelancer editor who can work remotely from their own mac computer. Hard drive of footage will be provided. This is not a full time position but rather a freelance position with on and off days. We would be open to a flexible schedule where you could fit this work in between other freelance work you may have.

Must work in Adobe Premiere.

Job Description

We are seeking a multi-talented junior video editor. Candidates must have an excellent grasp on editing within Adobe Premiere, and have familiarity with the larger creative suite. A deep understanding of After Effects and motion graphics is a plus. Our projects are diverse, each with unique requirements and editorial challenges, requiring the ideal candidate to be a problem solver and self-starter with skills across the post production spectrum – from a prowess in storytelling, to audio mixing, color correction, and graphic creativity. We are a small creative group, so the ability to adapt and collaborate is important.


Requirements:
-3+ years of video editing experience with a strong portfolio.
-Ability to work in our Watertown, MA office at least 2 days per week.
-Excellent video editing skills, especially in making decisive decisions to craft clear content.
-Must be able to work collaboratively with producers, or completely independently to shape a video.
-Strong creative instincts with the ability to innovate, improve, and push a project to make it more than the sum of its parts.
-Passion for understanding complex subjects and content, ranging from math and science, to culture and global politics. The ability to immerse yourself in the content, unravel complicated concepts, and teach others is often necessary.
-Motivation is key. Keeping a variety of projects on track is a must.
-Organization is imperative, across projects, files, drives, servers, and the cloud.




Responsibilities:
-Edit engaging, entertaining, and clear content.

-Edit videos collaboratively, or craft a story from raw footage.

We are searching for an editor who can pull about 6-8 minutes of selects and translate the footage from Thai to English.

We are hoping to have the footage by Friday, March 24th and would need the selects by Monday, March 27th.

You can work remotely at your convenience, we use the latest version of Premiere and will send through all necessary files.

We anticipate this taking about one day of work (at 8 hrs a day).

SEEKING POST APS FOR NEW DOCUSERIES FOR A&E

A new docu-series is seeking experienced Post APs. Positions start on 3/27 and 4/3 and run through August/September. The job is fully remote, but the show is mostly on east coast hours.

The APs will be creating selects and string outs in Avid, helping with deliverables, and reviewing cuts to confirm appearance releases. We're seeking APs who are very comfortable in Avid, experienced with creating string outs, detail-oriented, and can work at a fast pace.

Only candidates with at least 3 credits as a Post AP will be considered.

The role is in-office assistant editor supporting mostly ADOBE workflow. Grouping syncing, media ingest, tech support, etc. Office is located in Greenwich Connecticut. Experience with LucidLink, Servers and Frame.io a plus.

Deliverable Date: ASAP (4-8 weeks depending on status of footage organization)

Needed Asset:
My team and I are looking for a short trailer to promote our news program, SYSTEM UPDATE (hosted by investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald), which premieres weeknights on independent media platform, Rumble. The plan is to use this trailer in a paid social media advertising campaign, primarily YouTube, placed in front of videos on peer channels. It will also live for some time in other places: pinned video on social media, the trailer on our YouTube channel, our website, etc.

We are looking for an exceptionally professional, polished end-product, highlighting the unique attributes of the show that distinguish it from an ever-expanding number of competitors. Among them:

Glenn Greenwald is a world-renowned journalist, with a long list of accomplishments and awards. He is best known for the Snowden reporting, which ultimately received a Pulitzer and was the subject of an Oscar-winning documentary. Fiercely independent and adversarial to power, he brings an important perspective to the current political/media landscape.
In contrast to corporate media and other competitors, we tend to dive deeply into a small number of issues every night, often covering stories that are misreported or under-reported in mainstream media. Beholden to no overbearing editorial oversight, we have the freedom to explore current events and pursue truth without concern for appeasing third-party stakeholders.

Our team has little capacity to be hyper-involved in this process. While we can definitely provide needed support and information, we are really hoping to find an editor who can create and implement the vision with as much independence as possible.

Looking for AVID Assistant Editors with experience working on multi-cam, verite driven TV shows in the true crime genre. Documentary experience is a plus!

Start date is 3/20/23. This is a CT production and the position is currently remote but may become hybrid at some point during production.

Post Coordinator/Media Manager needed for multiple projects. This is an in-office position located in Stamford, CT; it is NOT a remote or work-from-home position. Duties will include coordinating media drive deliveries, creating LTO backups, and assisting with wrap documents. Avid experience is a plus.

NYC-based reality competition series seeking an experienced AE (Avid) to join our team. We look forward to hearing from you!

Seeking two Assistant Editors for upcoming cooking competition series. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving media from field teams, backing everything up, transcoding, syncing, grouping, exporting for transcription, verite cutdowns, network exports, and other post prep.

This is a hybrid position, so candidates must be able to come to our office in NYC. Candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented and have a great attitude.

Need an experienced Assistant Editor who can work from home and has good knowledge of Avid. Need someone with the ability to group/sync, do exports, bring in music, organize projects. A plus if you have After Effects knowledge. This job will run through the end of summer with the possibility of extending. Although this is mostly a remote gig, we will need someone in office once we start the online process to do a final QC check before sending to the network. This will be once a week or less depending on when shows get delivered.

Established non-fiction production company is seeking a creative post-producer to revisit past episodes through clips and new interviews of a true crime series that explores the workings of the criminal justice system.

Candidates should have experience post- and/or story-producing episodic true crime series. Experience with stories that follow a case through to its trial or legal resolution is a plus.

Please note, we are currently still working from home, but candidates will be expected to join the rest of the team and work from the office in Stamford, CT once it reopens.

Rate range is $2,500 - $2,600 / week.
