Six-part verite series following an after school program in NYC seeking Line Producer to be responsible for:
- With Showrunner, oversees production team, budget and schedule, and communications with ATL team in a logistic capacity.
- Work with Director & Showrunner to come up with the most efficient production plan for all shoots
- Ensure shoots adhere to networks deliverables & company guidelines
- Track shooting costs and keeping project on budget. Working with Head of Production on overage requests. Work with production accountants on monthly cost reporting.
- Negotiate crew hires (rates and deal memos)
- Oversee the execution of all production logistics
--- Including travel, hotel, vehicle rentals, camera approvals, equipment orders, etc.
--- Processing of other vital production documentation such as call sheets, permits, insurance, contracts, equipment, etc.
--- Ensuring crew are paid legally & promptly
--- Organize and schedule all production meetings as assigned
--- Point of contact for all field issues, whether medical, technical, etc
--- Create and supervise system for outlines, shoot scripts, research notes, hot sheets, edit scripts, and annotated scripts
--- Work with field team to tailor field templates to capture the info needed for post production workflow and editorial use
- Supervise legal and insurance matters to ensure that the series team is meeting best practices and protecting the company.
- Meet with Head of Production, Head of post and project Producer & Post Supervisor bi-weekly to go over project status -- schedule, budget, and personnel – to make improvements and problem solve.
- Supervise all Producer / Edit teams in post:
-- Meet often with each team in post to make sure make sure the teams are hitting their milestones on schedule
-- With AEs & Archival Producer, keep track of music, graphics & archival in each episode, ensuring that both are moving along on schedule & within the show’s budget.
-- Oversee the execution of all project physical & paper deliverables
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years working as a series Line Producer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, organized, detail-oriented —able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking ownership of projects when needed
- Have prior experience in the docu-follow genre
- Ideally have prior experience working with minors and be familiar navigating child labor law regulations
- Familiarity with MMB, Excel
