Your New Role...

*** is looking for a Line Producer I for *** This Morning. Come join our control room team where every morning you'll help envision and execute global live coverage for *** 's signature morning show. This role is responsible for helping create and manage our show rundown while imagining visually interesting ways to help share *** 's reporting with the world. Your Role Accountabilities...

Create and manage the show rundown
Work with the Senior Broadcast Producer to decide what stories we cover and execute a plan on how to cover them
Generate compelling and creative segment ideas
Select video, stills, soundbites, quotes, graphics and other elements to help convey information
Call elements for show director
Assign stories to other team members for writing/producing
Write scripts and produce segments for breaking news stories
Produce rolling coverage of live breaking and scheduled news events
Discuss segment elements and suggested questions with Anchor, Executive Producer and other show producers
Make important editorial decisions and communicate them to talent, Writers, Associate Producers, Production Assistants and our control room team

Qualifications & Experience...

5+ years producing experience including extensive control room experience
Must be able to work an overnight/early morning shift and an extended schedule as the news cycle requires
Expert level ability to work in inews or ENPS
Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
Creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, suggest new angles for stories while having the organizational skills to bring it all together
Outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic are critical for the position

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinate completion and filing of COIs, location contracts, vendor agreements, and fire department permits.
Onboard all new crew members using Smart-Start application.
Submit, Organize and arrange all Timecards for the staff/crew on a show basis.
Assist with cast/talent needs on set.
Shop talent riders as needed for dressing rooms.
Assist writers on set as needed.
Escort talent and their teams as needed.
Coordinate with Show talent department and producers as needed.
Arrange Cars for talent/crew/writers as needed to/from set.
Coordinate all BG performers on set as needed.
Prepare and onboard all Stunt Coordinator/performers and Dancers Contracts.
Identify, set up, and clean up cast dressing rooms and background holding space
Create and send personnel list to stage security.
Assist with distribution of mass production emails.
Weekly updating of Google spreadsheet to track shared expenses for budgeting.
Assist with booking and approval for crew member hotel reservations.
Coordinate promo shoots in Studio 8H.
Negotiate trained animals, book, and coordinate with handler on set.
Assist with interviewing and hiring PAs and interns.
Order and track stage supplies (office supplies, water, etc.)
Ensure kitchen is prepared and stocked for caterers.
Provide general administrative assistance on production's dark weeks (miscellaneous receipts, invoices, timecards, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.
