MOTION GRAPHICS ANIMATOR at TubeScience

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Motion Graphics Animator to join our team. This role is remote flexible anywhere in the US.

TubeScience is a data-driven video startup based in LA that’s grown to become the largest producer of video ads on social media in the 4 years since founding. Collectively, our videos account for ~5% of all paid video views on Facebook and Instagram in North America and reach 100-200 million people per day.

What You'll Do:
Join a team of creative individuals who love to “make things move”. We work with producers, editors, and strategists to bring our ads to life and make the most visually appealing (and effective) videos.

Responsibilities for this role include the design and animation of: Outros, dynamic typography, call-outs, UI elements, MOGRTs, Element 3D, 3D camera tracking, character rigging, among others.

Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years experience in design and motion graphics.
UX Mindset: use design and motion purposefully to drive engagement and action
Great collaboration skills -- you know how to listen and understand producers’ and editors' vision -- but also to propose alternative ideas and ways to uplevel the final deliverable.

Show Responsibilities :

Work with Production and CG Supervisors in designing workflow and throughput of assigned shows
Work with Production on bid estimates, schedules and in staff capacity planning
Participate in colour management including scanning photography and internal colour management systems to ensure colour consistency of ILM's work
Ensure proper clean-up, documentation, and archiving of the project after its completion
Interfaces with other departments to ensure the seamless combination of work from other disciplines
Assist in the assessment of software needs and requirements

Department & Team Responsibilities:

Participate in the supervision and leadership of people & culture decisions including: recruitment, determination of work procedures and priorities, career development, employee morale, performance reviews and co *** ict resolution
Collaborate with the Talent manager with the employee review process and the scheduling of personnel on shows, providing input on skills, productivity, and career development
Responsible for honest, timely feedback to Compositing crew members
Assist in the design and execution of training for the compositing discipline

Studio Responsibilities:

Work with ILM Senior Management to understand capacity issues locally and work in conjunction to mitigate Studio capacity issues, as and when possible

Provide clear, concise and timely feedback for the Show Leadership Team and where appropriate, individual artists on the project

Full Time

Design and animate motion graphics for on-air creative, graphics for campaign promo spots, paid *** , social *** , and digital creative
Customize branded originals promo graphics toolkits + evolve as needed.
Take direction from creative briefs to develop concepts individually as well as in a collaborative environment for upcoming campaign creative and graphics packaging
Design Logos for show titles
Design custom creative for live activation event, outdoor billboards, promotional merchandises, and digital banners
Produce digital assets based on campaign creative
Create stylescapes and mood boards for marketing shoots
Create social *** content toolkits and style guides for partners and agencies
Contribute to creating presentation decks for communicating design and strategy to leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate with writers, producers, editors, art directors, and creative directors
Contribute ideas to creative brainstorms with collaborating partners

Qualifications

Ability to design from concept through finish for graphics packages
Ability to conceptualize and execute key art composites + additional campaign assets
Ability to manage time and projects
Resourceful in troubleshooting After Effects issues
Inter *** te knowledge of After Effects expressions
Has a knack for brand details, consistency and how to customize just enough to stay within brand look
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally, especially working in hybrid settings
Extremely organized and understands folder structures and process across different platforms and teams
Ability to work on multiple shows and projects at once
Photoshop Compositing skills a plus
After Effects Compositing skills a plus - rotoscoping, green screen, tracking

Desired Characteristics:
