Job Requirements: This is a remote job.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Motion Graphic Designer with a meticulous eye for detail. Uses tools such as Cinema 4D, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite to prepare and finish deliverables for motion graphics-related projects to spec for final delivery.

Typical work includes, but not limited to: production changes, VFX, 2D/3D tracking, rotoscoping, and up-resing and cleanup for final delivery.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
• The ability to absorb creative direction and work with GFX Producer to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines
• Motion graphics production (including but not limited to; organizing comps, compositing, rotoscoping, keying, constructing animated loops, rendering).
• Adaptation of existing campaign assets – retouching, logo and artwork preparation, illustrating, coloring, grading etc.
• Re-versioning existing campaigns to various aspect ratios so any new elements match provided footage and seamlessly composite together in accordance with Creative Direction
• Must be experienced with 2D workflows. Knowledge of 3D workflows is also recommended.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve as necessary
• Meticulous maintenance and adherence to naming conventions and media organization
• Address potential last minute design changes expedited without the traditional avenue of design deck/offlines.
• Frequently a specific note: swapping of text/font, color shift, creation of additional cards, etc.
• Version out all final graphics and create checkers PDFs for QC & creative approval of finished graphics to check kerning, leading, positioning, color, and spelling.
• Rework After Effects compositions for localization needs by streamlining our build comps in After Effects to ensure the project is easy to use.

Required:
• Advanced Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects). Cinema 4D experience is a plus.
• Must have strong design skills and an eye for typography
• Must be extremely detail oriented and a thorough perfectionist for the QC process

VFX Production Manager Position

At TCL Studios, we are building a team to create entertainment programs utilizing the latest AI technologies. To achieve this goal, we are recruiting Hollywood professionals with solid TV and film experience.

The AI technologies we utilize evolve on a regular basis. Currently, the workflows are similar to 3D animation, with some motion capture. There is a great deal of visualization to create the look of scenes. The key difference versus 3D animation, is that the tools are easier to use, but much less precise. The environment is fluid.

Production Management:
This is a broad VFX/Animation production management role. In general, this person will manage the workflows associated with translating scripts into finished shows. A key first goal for this position will be recruiting animation, visualization and AI talent from Hollywood professional community --identifying and recruiting experienced, technically savvy pros with some exposure to AI.

Specifically for our productions, the keys roles are:

1. Supervise team in the execution of VFX/animated scenes.
2. Coordinate with producers, writers and directors to execute the creative direction.
3. Manage shot lists, notes, assets (videos, stills, audio).
4. Track team hours and coordinate with production accounting on this tracking.
5. Work closely with the lead production executive to manage all aspects of the production.

How you'll make an impact:

CG Supervisor

Job Summary:

ILM opened its Sydney studio in 2019. The youngest of all of the ILM *** , the Sydney studio leverages the expertise and technological know-how developed over 40 years at *** combined with the top artists and technicians in the region. Knowledge and culture flow freely *** ween the company's five *** and the global team shares tools and workflow allowing for seamless collaboration on all shared projects.
We are seeking a CG Supervisor to join the team.

Working under the direction of the Producer and the VFX Supervisor, the CG Supervisor ensures all delivered shots maintain the group's rigorous technical standards and assist with the creative vision of the Director by directing the artists' work, technical skills, organization and communication.

Primary Responsibilities:

Crewed to a show (or multiple smaller shows when needed) and owns all decisions related to that show's technical development and implementation requirements including workflow, tool and pipeline decisions.
Serves as final decision-maker on all technical issues that span multiple artist disciplines (for example, makes the call on the most appropriate workflow *** ween different disciplines when consensus cannot be reached).
Owns show approach plan and partners with key supervisors across all ILM global locations for specifics on show planning, delivery, etc.
Responsible for ensuring technical implementation will work across all ILM locations, taking into account issues like licenses, machine specs, file sharing and other issues that may differ *** ween locations.
Responsible for show-specific forecasting of license, machine, render and storage needs throughout the show schedule.
Partners with appropriate studio reps across ILM global locations to provide show projections for larger, studio-wide assessments and reports.
Directly oversees new, facility approved, show-specific workflow and technology innovations. May perform or delegate the 'product owner' role for new technology on the show, however remains ultimately accountable for the success of those efforts.
Ensures show approach decisions are consistent with the facility canonical pipeline goals and that new technology developed on the show meets the show's needs. Ensures those efforts are visible to R&D, P.E., IT and the CG Technology Supervisors.
Partners with CG Technology Supervisors and R&D, PE and IT supervisors on canonical issues and priorities related to show needs.
Communicates proactively and consistently across show and studio about show technical priorities, requirements and concerns, in particular to show producer and VFX supervisor, CG technology supervisor leadership team and within weekly CG Supervisor meeting.
Flags and communicates the need for any show decisions which create divergence in canonical asset management tools and workflow (i.e. any changes to core, facility naming conventions, shotfile structure, choice of software, etc...)
Collaborates with outsource vendors and other ILM production partners on all shot and data sharing issues including file formats and standardization, colour space issues, etc. related to show

Required Skills / Technical Competencies:

Strong working knowledge of Linux, Python and shell scripting required.
Strong awareness of deadlines.
Demonstrates ability to work with competency, energy and enthusiasm within a team environment with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills by openly receiving direction and criticism by asking good questions to confirm clear interpretation of the directions and how to approach what needs to be done. Once clear, implements the requested changes im *** tely and raises flags right away.

Conversant in many of the ILM methodologies.
Look dev and/or shader writing a plus, layout and matchmove a plus.
Technical Skills: Familiar with Maya, Katana, Zeno and Nuke.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Graphics (or equiv. experience) with at least 5+ years hands-on production experience.
Significant post production experience including experience working as a CG Supervisor
