Duties/Responsibilities:
 Creative management of post for specific episodes, including scripting and edits
 Work with Showrunner to ensure content, visuals, and audio achieve set creative goals
 Support and have constant communication with Editors and Assistant Editors

 Follow up on releases needed from the field
 Receive notifications of media upload and location and transcription completion and location
 Confirm all deliverables are complete and deliver at conclusion of episodes/series
 Conduct pickup interviews, as needed
 Identify needed bites for pickup interviews
 Approve fact checks
 Help identify snap-ins and conforms scripts
 Keep notes during recreation meetings
 QC their episodes with Series Producer and Associate Producer
 Book VO sessions if the series doesn’t have a Supervising Producer

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. About Your Contributions

Research, pitch, assign, edit, and publish search-optimized trending and breaking news articles in our CMS
Recruit, onboard, and manage a diverse pool of freelance health and medical writers who can cover health topics from a lens that impacts different communities
Collaborate with the social team to create social *** content, including but not limited to: videos, reels, and content graphics.

About You

3-5 years of experience developing and editing digital news content
Must have experience covering health, science, or wellness news, with the ability to recognize newsworthy trending topics and how to cover them with a clear takeaway for readers
Ability to clearly translate medical jargon and academic speak into consumer-friendly, engaging copy
Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid editing skills, as well as a deep understanding of what works on the web
Strong copywriter, capable of writing click-worthy headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping an inclusive and trustworthy tone.
Familiarity with SEO best practices
College degree required, preferably in journalism or communications; health or science journalism specifically is a plus.
