DATA WRANGLER / MEDIA MANAGER / POST PA (FIELD)


Established Production company looking for Post PA in Bayonne, NJ to manage media and work on docuseries television series. Ideal candidate will have experience with on-set and/or field media management, previous professional PA work, and knowledge of Mac-based post production workflows.


Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Working directly with office based Post department to convey all post information and material from Bayonne to NY office in timely manner

- Receiving media cards from the field crew

- Checking proper labeling of cards being handed off

- Ensuring that field crew is shooting with proper camera specs per NY Post department

- Offloading media from cards to Master, Backup and shuttle hard drives

- Confirming all media is accounted for prior to card recycle

- Updating field documents to track footage being offloaded, ie: camera reports, audio reports

- Coordinating with NY office to ensure proper receipt of files

- Reporting field issues to the NY office and seeking approval of any on-the-fly workflow changes

- Working with field crew to complete runs, help with setup, move gear between locations, etc.

- Some positions require the ability to drive a rented vehicle and a valid driver's license. Please note if you do not have one.

- Bridging the connection between the Field and Post


Qualifications Include:


- Extensive knowledge of NTSC, PAL, HD, UHD, and 4K formats in various frame rates.

- Experience with Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Shotput Pro or other media conversion software is a plus.

- Ability to learn new software quickly
 and follow written instructions

- Knowledgeable in Google Doc spreadsheets

- Strong organizational skills


- Ability to multitask and communicate progress and tech issues with the NY office
