Television production company is looking for a Metadata Assistant to help support our content library. The ideal candidate will be able to help create metadata deliverables for timely delivery in conjunction with our video content to various platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Creating/editing title names and descriptions within a required character limit
• Create standardized spreadsheets of episodic metadata for television programs. Format metadata in their requested format, usually Excel files or XML.
• Research prior program schedules and ratings
• Revising and/or creating timing sheets and music cue sheets using program timecode
• Proofread and correct metadata as needed such as duplicate, missing, or incorrect information
• Create thumbnail artwork from existing video sources
• Assisting with various related assigned projects
Requirements:
• Must exhibit excellent attention to detail
• Ability to write short creative episodic descriptions; good grammar and spelling skills required
• Working knowledge of digital artwork deliverables including, but not limited to photography, key art, and logo treatments as well as their related file format
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of logging in/out timecodes and segment durations preferred
Position is full-time, to start immediately for approximately seven months. Part-time possible, minimum 25 hours/week. Full-time regular position possible after that. The job can be done remotely but may be asked to come to the office once a week.
