Leveraging the combined experience of its veteran creative team, Lucky 8 has created and produced a wide range of successful series and specials, from blue-chip documentary to formatted reality, in genres spanning crime, science, food, comedy and more.
We are looking for a highly capable Post Supervisor for our Post Department. This position will manage multiple pilots and future series for Networks including Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel and HGTV. Must be familiar with post scheduling, budgeting and network deliverables. We are looking for someone who is hardworking and collaborative, has strong organizational skills and has experience managing post teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for shepherding projects through offline, online and final finishing. Responsible for all technical aspects of HD delivery of assigned projects to insure that the integrity and quality of the programs conform to network technical standards
Manage the budget and negotiations with post production vendors including, but not limited to: post online/finish facility, QC vendor, sound design and mix facility, talent agencies for narrators and duplication facility
Manage relationships with network technical counterpart to ensure delivery of post deliverables including but not limited to masters, promo selects, web deliverables, audio stems,
Schedule and maintain all offline rooms, narration recording, online sessions and post audio sessions with post vendors.
Manage post production department personnel- DIT, transcribers, Post Coordinators, Assistant Editors, Junior Editors, and Assistant Online Editors. Interview and hire post production support as needed and maintain preferred editor list. Train post production personnel on workflow
Supervise post production sessions (online/color, audio) and Quality Control fixes. Supervise the final post media deliverables.
Review and submit invoices from post production vendors for EIC/LP. VP of Post approves all invoices for final finish.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Familiarity with offline edit systems including AVID Media Composer and NEXUS.
Knowledge of Network Technical Specifications and deliverables.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in this role.
Salary commensurate with experience.
