Summary of Position:
Podville Media, a premier multimedia production company that specializes in podcasts, digital and media broadcast content, seeks to fill the role of a Post-Production Supervisor. Understanding the fast-paced nature of media production is a requirement. Having strong organizational skills is a must. The candidate must have extensive experience working in teams, communicating with clients, and post-production workflows.
This position is on site in our Washington, D.C. offices.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
● Coordinate with client and internal staff on all elements of post-production of audio/video podcasts
● Responsible for all aspects of post-production workflow, including communication and scheduling for editors, coordinating graphics, music, and other finishing work to be delivered on time and on budget
● Track the progress of deliverables and update executive staff and client
● QC all video and social media deliverables, provide feedback, and confirm implementation
o Deliver drafts and work with editor to incorporate revisions
o Deliver final assets to client distribution list and guest(s) when applicable
● Request episode titles and descriptions from producers or audio editor
● Publish episodes on podcast hosting platforms
● Oversee, manage, and maintain folder structure for all client deliverables and internal working folders
● Provide project managers with weekly information on upcoming and outstanding deliverables, stats, and status of deliverables
● Manage a full post-production staff support team (video editors, audio editors, production coordinator, and PA’s) to facilitate the delivery process from capture to final deliverables
o Production Coordinator (Studio and staff calendars for production, Assets for post-production, Social captions for assets)
o Jr. Production Coordinator / Production Assistant (Equipment for remote guests, Order transcripts, Run advanced reports on stats)
Requirements:
● 3-5 years’ experience as a post supervisor or post manager
● Experience with digital asset management systems
● Ability to work closely with producers, editors and other post staff – some of whom are working remotely
● Ability to cultivate and evaluate members of post-production team
● Familiarity with relevant software including Frameio, Adobe Suites, After Effects, etc.
● Competent, organized, and confident project manager who is able to juggle multiple projects with competing demands at once
● Great communication skills and ability to multitask
● Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible as the job requires and be solution-oriented and deadline-driven
● Familiarity with socials deliverables
● Familiarity with Airtable is a plus
