Job Summary
Meredith's Beauty/Fashion Video Team seeks a freelance Producer to work with editorial leads for a variety of productions across the realms of celebrity, fashion, and beauty. This role will be responsible for ideating and crafting compelling and entertaining video content to engage a wide audience by using data informed production strategies and methods.
Reporting to the Executive Producer of Travel & Beauty, This will be a 3 month Project Based temp position through the Yoh agency with a possibility for an extension. The ideal candidate knows how to shape ideas and create the framework for produced content. The writer/producer takes basic thoughts and makes them accessible to a mass audience.
Qualifications
· Video Production/Writing Skills: 3 years (Preferred)
I. Job Summary
· Manage day-to-day production, scripting, and direct best in class content
· Provide a range of production services including: writing, storyboarding, and directing
· Collaborate with video and digital teams to ideate and develop new content and ensure buy-in on shared goals
· Communicate operational and project updates to all brand stakeholders
· Test new formats and production methodologies to grow audience and ensure efficiencies
· Ability to hire freelance crew, coordinate prop and vehicle rentals, and have the ability to work across departments for all logistical aspects of the physical production
· Stay current on content formats, subjects, trends, and talent
· Utilize data and analytics to drive strategic brand programming decisions
· Create production budgets and manage production clearances
· Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly brand level reporting to cross-functional teams
· Research, develop and pitch new and original ideas
· Demonstrate initiative, an ability to work independently, with a collaborative and goal-oriented approach
· Strong command of the English language and the ability to write compelling copy is a must for this role
II. Essential Job Functions
· Develop new video series and episode ideas
· Pitch new ideas to appropriate stakeholders
· Plan productions
Coordinate and execute all need for props, freelance staffing, and vehicles needed for each production
· Coordinate with high level celebrity talent and teams
· Physical productions
· Ensure content is published and receives maximum viewership on all platforms
· Analyze performance and provide actionable feedback to all stakeholders
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
· +5 years experience.
· Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
