MOTION GRAPHICS PRODUCER // 100% remote - hybrid - or onsite (NYC)

Seeking additional freelance producers to join our motion graphics team. The freelance position includes assigning and managing jobs, overseeing designer work, being a liaison between clients and creative and more, in a fast-paced environment for Broadcast and other platforms.

RATE: $45-60/hour DOE (8 hour day)

SCHEDULE: may vary, 8:30am - 5pm // 10am - 6:30pm EASTERN (prefs will be considered)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: W-2 through a staffing company. 1000 hour employee terms to start with potential to convert to 18month employment duration maximum (pending performance and work needs)

JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for the supervision of all aspects of creative production, from concept to final delivery
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, as needed, to ensure delivery requirements are met
- Assign incoming AirTable jobs and effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met
- Communicate in a clear, concise and effective manner with team and partners
- Foster and establish strong relationships with all our partners
- Understand, enforce and uphold departmental SOP and operational guidelines
- Provide accurate estimates on custom job timeline and requirements
- Provide backfill support for scheduling duties

SKILLSET:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a creative producer in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience managing multiple projects and overseeing the work for a creative team
- Understanding of Broadcast design and cross-platform requirements
- Understand the capabilities of the Adobe Creative Suite, Maxon and other creative tools
- Basic knowledge of corporate applications for communication: Outlook, Teams, G-Suite

PREFERENCE SKILLS:
- Hands on experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiar with AirTable

Job Description

*** Connecticut is looking for a tv and streaming producer to collaborate with our team of exceptional journalists to create engaging and compelling content for our broadcast and digital platforms.

Essential Functions:

Produce and write assigned segments, which may include digital newscasts.
Pitch compelling story ideas and guest segments

The Producer will be responsible for the development and production of news packages needed for different newscasts.

Responsibilities:

• Research, write and produce strong editorial copy and packages with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Checks reference material such as books, news files, public records to obtain relevant facts
Shoots and edits content for digital and occasionally on-air
Understand different ways to tell a story, particularly producing short videos and choosing great photos
Evaluate website traffic trends to make decisions on both daily content needs and longer-term content curation that will grow local audience
Flexibility to perform duties
Build positive working relationships with newsroom staff and management, work collaboratively on enterprise content, and creating opportunities to market web content on broadcast
Ensures all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity & production quality

Requirements & Skills :

Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience required; live, working web samples and/or print pages preferred
Knowledge of SEO Best Practices and AP Style

Job Description

**** is currently seeking a Weekend Producer/Content Producer who will work closely with assignment editors, reporters, and anchors to produce, write, edit, and gather content on all **** platforms, both linear and digital, including FAST. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and, in some cases, video recording material.

This position is to produce 2 shows on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and serve as fill-in producer or content producer 3x a week.

Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the Northern & Central California market.
The ideal Weekend Producer/Content Producer candidate is expected to be a key communicator in the newsroom, talking with each person who will participate or provide content for that newscast.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow for collaboration with managers, digital team, and assignment desk to deliver complete local news coverage that is fair and accurate.
Be a key contributor for story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions and be a leader during editorial meetings.
Must be able to line-produce newscasts.
Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.
Must understand the station's mission and priorities.
Stay on top of the latest graphic tools to visually enhance and showcase stories.
Write news scripts and edit video clips.
Must be able to produce under heavy deadline pressure without compromising credibility.
Conceptualize, write and edit stories in different formats (VO, VO/SOT & PKG)
Coordinate script and storyline with correct video sources and graphics
Ensure accuracy and correct spelling in graphics and banners
Log news and inform the content producer of available material that can be used in the newscast
Produce (write & edit) content for digital platforms
