Client facing (remotely), managing all current projects, heaviest focus on logistics
Preferred local (NYC) for some limited/safe live support on a couple of small shoots in our studio (crew size 5-6ppl) in mid August
We have 2 remote shoots (CHI + LA) in mid-late August
One live/outdoor shoot targeted for September
Supporting internal needs

Ideally we are going to bring someone on this Monday August 3rd. It wasn’t intended to be such sudden notice but is a function of the client work cropping up.

Job Description

**** *** Utah is seeking a News Producer to join our award-winning team. The Producer will be responsible for successful coordination and execution of a newscast and other special programs as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall production, content, and every element of each newscast.
Responsible for being a key communicator in the newsroom- talking with each person who will participate or provide content for that newscast (i.e. News Director, Managing Editor, anchors, Digital, MMJ's and production crews).
Understand newscast mission, station priorities and be familiar with all the platforms.

Create and publish stories in our website and social *** and OTT.

Must select stories, understand all the elements, and design a newscast that achieves the daily goal.
Knowledgeable on daily news events, awareness of past news events and know what news in the Utah market.
Execute Live Shots and Satellite Remotes during live newscasts.
Select, assign, write, and organize news stories. Write news scripts, headlines, teases and topicals.
Respond to breaking news with urgency and accuracy.
Coordinate and plan future community and social story development.
Work with Reporters and Multi *** Journalists to improve story and presentation.
Editing skills to edit video clips.
Write digital articles and OTT content.
Work closely with News Director and Managing Editor on story/sweeps planning and coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
Minimum 2 years producer experience.

Ability to edit in news edition program (ie. Edius and Stratus)
Excellent news judgment, creative ideas and writing skills a must.

*** News Digital is looking for a talented producer to join its Digital Docs and Enterprise team. This new role will report to a Senior Producer and will create innovative, mid-form and long-form, in-depth news stories for *** News. We're looking for a strong editorial producer who sees the digital doc, video forensics, and long-form narrative opportunities in a hard news cycle. They should have a knack for knowing how to report and tell stories that will breakout and resonate well beyond a fast-moving news cycle and know how to distill editorial complexity into the video medium.
