Busy Content production company looking to build out Rolodex of creative Producer/Shooter types who can shoot BTS/EPK/Social content while on-set of a larger TV series. Shooting will be on-going, so open availability is preferred - potentially needed 5 days per week.

Due to current health protocols, looking for someone who can commit to longer stints to avoid day-players.

Requirements:
Must be comfortable in the Producer/Shooter role - engaging directly with talent, navigating PR teams, etc.
Current member of Local 600 in good standing
Own camera package and basic lighting for sit down interviews
Previous on-set experience and understanding of proper setiquette

Essential Responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in news management or 7+ years of main show producing in a top 10 market.
Proficiency in working with the latest newsroom technologies, both hardware and software.
Nuanced and detailed copy editing abilities.
Proven track record of mentoring and developing Producers or Senior Producers.
Ability to partner closely with nighttime and early morning Producers to create a seamless newscast in a 24-hour news environment.
Experience creating schedules for newsroom staff.
Good collaborative and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
Basic understanding and demonstration of editorial judgment and journalistic ethics in all platforms, including a current knowledge of laws of libel, slander and applicable FCC rules and regulations.

Desired Characteristics:

Job Description

The Rotten Tomatoes team is seekinga Digital Producer. The role supports the development and implementation of overall digital strategy, taking cues from internal teams as well as multiple stakeholders, to cultivate and distribute cross-platform digital content that will engage and grow site audience. They will be responsible for all aspects of content publishing, which includes production, presentation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

Create, update, and maintain site pages in WordPress and monitor (quality control) content on live site and troubleshoot or escalate as needed.
Design, build and edit online content, pages, assets, and applications.
Coordinate the creation/design of assets for campaigns and articles as needed (banners, featured images, etc.).
Collaborate with editorial team to plan optimization of content.
Repurpose existing content into engaging assets that users can respond to
Perform content reviews and audits with a focus on driving strategy changes.
Collect and maintain quality of images for editorial use.
Frequently update editorial calendar.
Assist with community management across site - actively engage and respond to users and brainstorm ways to increase site conversation and sign-ups.
Work with creative team members to brainstorm and develop strategies and tactics in support of our brand efforts.
Collaborate with other teams: marketing; sales; and moderation to ensure brand consistency.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

3+years of experience working for a major publisher or brand
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Well-versed in the latest productivity and marketing technologies (such as Airtable, Smartsheets, Jira) and can assist creative and technical resources with ideas, scoping, and solutions.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Availability to work nights and weekends.
