Non union show requires a skilled self-shooting Producer with a kit available to document a construction process over approximately eight weeks. Duties will include: following a shot list, creating hot sheets, directing and releasing on-camera workers, and effectively managing media content.

The ideal candidate should be local to the area and able to demonstrate prior experience in a similar role. They must also exhibit responsibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.

The specific dates for this project are still being finalized, and we are currently compiling a list of potential crew members to contact once the schedule is confirmed. The project is expected to occur sometime between May and June, but these dates are subject to change. The crew will be notified well in advance if any adjustments are made.

How you'll make an impact:

Dayton 24/7 Now is a collaborative newsroom dedicated to serving the Miami Valley. The ideal candidate will help coach producers on showcasing and oversee production of newscasts and special programming. You will work closely with producers and reporters on daily selection and coverage. As a newsroom leader, the expectation is that the Executive Producer will lead by example.

Some additional responsibilities of our Executive Producer will include:

Oversee daily newscasts to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert and empower our audience
Supervise producers and reporters, as well as, review scripts and provide feedback to encourage powerful storytelling
Manage news room and handle breaking news stories on ALL platforms
Collaborate with News Directors and other station managers

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?

Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms
