Title: Producer (Relationship/Drama-based Talk Show Pilot)
Role Summary:
NBCUniversal is seeking Show Producers for an untitled relationship/ drama-based talk show pilot being shot in Stamford, Connecticut. This project will take place over a four-week period in July/August.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Producer will be accountable for all aspects of talk show production. Responsibilities include researching and pitching show ideas, finding and pre-interviewing potential guests and writing full production scripts. Candidate will work directly with senior creative management team to conceptualize, develop, and execute all aspects of the pilot episode.
• Candidate will manage a team consisting of an Associate Producer and Production Assistant. The Producer should be able to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner to ensure the shared creative vision of the show is realized.
• Candidate should have experience in finding and booking individuals and families dealing with real life relationship issues. Over two years of prior talk show experience is preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years professional TV experience with a talk show, news or court program
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be able to start in mid-July 2021. The position will require a 4-week commitment
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work both remotely and in Stamford, Connecticut
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
Desired Characteristics:
• 4 to 5 years of TV Production experience preferred (including internships, PA positions, etc.)
• Strong writing and in-studio production skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary Superior organizational skills
