We are looking for a full-time producer in the greater Boston area. Please don’t apply for this position unless you meet the following job requirements:

• a minimum of 4 years of experience producing video end-to-end
• ability to work at our Watertown office a minimum of 2 days per week
• clear understanding of how to create a variety of engaging and accessible narrative approaches for different types of video
• can communicate comfortably and successfully with clients of all types
• can engage in research and reflect thoughtfully on content of all varieties, including education, science, social justice, technology, medicine, personal experience, marketing, etc.
• can individually and collaboratively strategize to develop meaningful and expressive video treatments
• familiarity with licensing and rights issues for media of all types
• solid understanding of the logistical requirements of field and studio production
• demonstrated management of post-production prep using screeners and transcripts to create an edit plan
• ability to work closely with editors — evaluate rough cuts, provide clear, reasoned feedback and edit notes
• comfort working on multiple projects at various stages of production

Responsibilities:
-Assist in the creation and refinement of project concepts, scripts, and related materials.
-Storyboard, allocate resources, create schedules, and oversee creative media strategies.
-Manage production budgets.
-Sourcing and management of production crew, cast, and equipment.
-Manage the timeline for video productions.
-Research and clear all rights and licensing for project media.
-Book and scout production locations.
-Pre-production and production management of all crew and talent, and direct crew and talent for location and studio production.
-Work closely with DP to make sure all proper equipment and production resources are in place
-Work closely with editors to oversee the project's finalization.
-Ensure that the highest production quality and messaging are accomplished
-Work comfortably independently and with our team to establish overall project and company goals
