What You'll Do:
We are seeking a Production Accountant to join the ATTN: Production Studio. You’ll report to the VP, Production and will work in partnership with Finance and Production to manage finances for original and branded content projects.
You are a passionate expert in costs, managing financial records, and production. Responsibilities include:
-Manage Finances and maintain financial records during entirety of the production (this includes pre-production, production, post-production and wrap)

-Will work closely with line producers, supervising producers, and the other above the line production staff
-Manage the day-to-day accounting financial reporting against the budgets
-Ensure that all legal requirements are met
-Manage cash flow and liaise with financiers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
-Perform and manage production accounting activities across the series production
-Manage production freelance payroll operations
-Manage cost reporting - generate reports for operational expenses and accounting variances
-Adhere to the accounting standards and procedures for operational efficiency
-Perform account reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
-Manage payment policies
-Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
-Manage job numbers and chart of accounts
-Work with CFO to address billing inquiries and issues
-Perform revenue analysis and ensure accounting activities are completed within deadlines
-Identify and flag risks to the VP, Production
-Generate account related reports to management and other production teams when needed
Who You Are:
-5-8 years of Production Accounting experience
-BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
-Meticulous bookkeeping and accounting skills
-Good understanding of the general TV series production process
-Working knowledge of US GAAP and commonly-used practices, and procedures within Accounting & Finance (accruals, capitalizing, matching principle)
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft, google-suite, movie magic, and other financial software
-Excellent Excel and math skills including formulas, subtotals, V-lookups, etc.
-Meticulous attention to detail
-Strong communication skills
-Experience working on TV shows
-Results-oriented and resourceful leader
-Able to ramp up quickly and establish themselves as a credible partner with the ability to influence business leaders and teams, as well as external customers
-Sharp communication, organizational, and analytical skills
