Overview

Lucky 8 TV is seeking an experienced production accountant. This position is directly responsible for reviewing and processing all aspects of accounting such as Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders, Petty Cash Expense Reports, and Amex Expenses.

Essential Functions

Responsible for supervising production purchase orders from line producers and accounts payable processing
Handle day-to-day production accounting coding and process transactions

EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and deep understanding of all facets of production accounting including budgets, cost reporting, general ledgers, cash flows, trial balances, bank reconciliations, etc.
Must have experience with production accounting requirements of major distributors including Netflix, HBO, ESPN, Amazon, Apple, NBC / Peacock, etc.

Job Description

*** Universal Advertising Sales is a ~2,000 person organization supporting approximately $10 billion of revenue across Broadcast, Cable and Digital Platforms. Ad Sales Finance supports all revenue reporting, forecasting, accounting, credit & collections, operational management of costs as well as incentive compensation design and administration for the salesforce. Primary responsibilities include oversight of close processes, balance sheet and net income controllership, corporate reporting, and accounting policies and implementation.

The Senior Analyst, Ad Sales Finance position is a dynamic role on the Ad Sales Finance team that will play a key role in ensuring strong controllership, driving operational excellence and supporting new growth opportunities. This role will work closely with financial and operational leadership and have exposure to all aspects of the sales organization. The New York based role will report into the Financial Controller for Ad Sales based in London.

Manage Monthly and Quarterly closing processes for Ad Sales (e.g. analyze balance sheet financials, support required accruals, post journal entries, ensure all accounts are stated properly)
Reconcile and analyze movements in key balance sheet areas including preparation of monthly balance sheet review package and additional close reporting data requests
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with *** U Account Reconciliation policy
Manage intercompany cross-charges with other *** U group entities

This position is responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing financial data to support various data request items made in conjunction with compliance/financial audits, including but not limited to third party participations and residuals/guild audits of various *** Global divisions ( *** Pictures, *** *** , *** , *** Networks, etc.), US GAAP external audits, international statutory audits, and providing support for internal projects, such as international tax filings and transaction data analysis. • Assist with pulling supporting documentation requests for external auditors, internal auditors, and other ad-hoc in-house projects.
• Perform data extractions and prepare reports to support financial statement balances
• Research and obtain support as needed for requested selections and ensure the timely completion of any outstanding selections
• Reconcile and review the propriety and reasonableness of financial data received by the various divisions as reported and investigate any unusual activities
• Compile financial data, remove extraneous data, and redact confidential documentation and critical contract agreements as deemed necessary prior to providing to external parties
• Ensure the integrity of the account reconciliations, financial models and quality of spreadsheets used in analysis and provided to the respective parties
• If unusual data attributes are identified, coordinate with the appropriate supervisor as to the proper disposition of these items and analyze and handle any corrections or adjustments, if necessary
• Assist with locating and retrieving historical records from archived records (off-site facilities) in support of third-party audits of any *** Global division
