**** News 2 in Greensboro, NC is looking for a part-time Production Assistant who can join the news team in executing live newscasts. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn about the many facets of local television and can use our technology to create dynamic, energetic, and engaging content. This is a 'foot-in-the-door,' part-time position that will get you started in the world of technical broadcast television. A self-starter in this job will be able to gain experience in all technical areas, with opportunities to learn about production, engineering, IT, and operations. Experience with a non-linear editing system is a plus. We are looking for someone to bring new, forward-thinking production ideas to the table to help us continue producing exceptional content for our audience.
Responsibilities:
• Creative storytelling of the highest journalist standards.
• Editing
• Filing a variety of video elements including voice overs, packages, and basic graphics.
Ability to multi-task, handling editing assignments, capturing feeds, and receiving story content from field crews while constantly monitoring quality control.
• Receive Room Operations
Requirements:
• A successful candidate is innovative, with solid news judgement.
• Working alongside other news staff members, the ideal candidate will also be responsible for responding quickly to breaking news and managing.
• This person works well under pressure, can perform in stressful content produced by others, including feeds from the field Vo's, Sot's situations and has excellent multi-tasking capabilities. and some package editing.
• Qualified candidates have strong video and photo-editing skills - Coordinate live streams and live recordings from the field, web, or studio.
