The Press Production team supports all the logistical needs of the CMT Communications Department. The CMT “Comms” team owns the build of the Red Carpet, and the Press on the Red Carpet as well as the Press Room and Media inside the venue. Production Assistants will assist with various operations and logistics duties below to ensure the Red Carpet and Press room run flawlessly:
- Setting Up Press Production Office [printer, power, craft service, tables/chairs, signage]
- Setting Up Comms Office [printer, power, craft service, tables/chairs, signage]
- Managing Credentials [update the master google doc, print, collate]
- Creating Credential & Ticket Packets [organize and stuff packets for Media and Non-Show Talent walking the Carpet]
- Overseeing Build & Set Up Red Carpet [work with our partner JLC as they build the carpet, place water for media, label & mark out red carpet]
- Receipt Tracking [retain receipts & update the google doc with each purchase]
- Ordering Meals [research, place orders, & hand out meals for team & crew]
- Maintaining Radios [inventory radios, keep an updated sign-in/out sheet, ensuring radios/batteries are charged]
- Marking Media Seats [mark seats inside venue that are held for approved media]
- Setting Up Signage [set up signage related to check in, red carpet, press room, etc.]
- Going on “Runs” [go to Target, Staples, Lowes etc. for items needed onsite]
- Support Check In [support the press & non-show talent check-in table]
- Stock Craft Service [ensure that “crafty” (drinks & snacks) set-ups are always full]
- Updating Shared Docs [ensure all of shared docs are kept updated]
- Filing Working Docs [save & file the most updated working documents sent out]
- Support Flow of the Red Carpet [on show day, support the flow on the red carpet]
Previous production assistant experience is preferred.
