- Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).
-
Additional Requirements:
- Do you have basic computer skills and some experience with live events?
Looking for a production assistant/archiver to work a live event. Two positions are available for the same event, so we will be looking for two individuals for the weekend.
The event is a large dance/cheer competition that will be live streamed. We will be streaming two performance halls for one of the two days, so the operations in each hall will require a crew in each room, hence the two positions available. One archiver position will be hired for both days, one for Saturday only; please note availability in your cover letter.
The archiver should be able to perform basic computer skills using VMix (switcher program) and a graphics insertion program. We will train on-the-job specifics and no prior software-specific experience is necessary, but you should have some experience with live productions and being able to perform on an encoder (computer) under moderate pressure. The role also requires some attention to detail and ensuring accuracy throughout the day, so someone who can maintain a strong work ethic and focus will be ideal. (Please refer to any relevant skills in your cover letter.)
Job responsibilities:
1. Inputting team names before and after each performance, by choosing from a drop-down menu and starting/stopping the recording as timed with the show;
2. Operating VMix's very basic switching functions, ensuring the program feed is displaying the event properly and switching to slates, ads, etc. between performances and breaks.
All equipment will be provided. Archiver will use a standard PC.
Looking for two crew members:
1) Archiver 1: who can work Saturday, April 1 (approx. 7am-10pm) and Sunday, April 2 (approx. 7am-10pm).
2) Archiver 2: who can work Saturday, April 1 (approx. 7am-10pm)
Please be reliable and prepared for long days. Breaks and meals are included. Travel and lodging is not.
Rate is 175/12, OT after 12.
